actually, I've quit smoking almost a year and a half ago. The people I know that smoke, respect me and the fact I do not smoke and when they are here visiting, they immediately offer to go outside to smoke
Contrary to popular belief, smokers cheer for the person that can toss the pack aside and walk away. We know how difficult it is to break the habit and for each person that can kick it we have another reminder that maybe we can too.

The point of the thread was how does a non-smoker find someone who in turn is a non-smoker. Well, if this is the point of the thread, then I don't understand why there even is a thread. I have absolutely no problem finding non-smokers. I can't understand why this would be a problem.

| non smokers Posted: 11/3/2009 9:49:46 AM | ^^^Perhaps there shouldn't have been a thread.
Original post:
why is it so hard to find nonsmokers, and even those that do why can't they respect the nonsmokers and do it after the date isn't that Occasional.
We didn't need to parade out the tired Messiah complexes from one side and the "screw you"s from the other side all over again.
Parhaps just a show of hands to say to the OP that they're not doing this right.

| non smokers Posted: 11/3/2009 2:21:06 PM | The way for non-smokers to find other non-smokers? Read the profile. If it says: smoke: occasional or often, then don't date them. Only date peeps who answer that question NO. If they've lied, *stop* dating them as soon as you discover it, and tell them why.
There you go, Bunky! | |

Well, if this is the point of the thread, then I don't understand why there even is a thread. I have absolutely no problem finding non-smokers. I can't understand why this would be a problem. Same here. It also amazes me how many people, who claim to be doing it tough, would rather purchase a packet of smokes or a slab of beer, than put food on the table.

We know how difficult it is to break the habit and for each person that can kick it we have another reminder that maybe we can too. You're absolutely right... then again, as a current non-smoker, I also have respect for the smokers...
Aside from the fact that I still adore the smell of smoke...
Yeah, I've turned from a non-smoker to a second hand smoker... I can't help it, it really does smell delicious to me!!! Old smoke on the other hand is a completely different story...
