The subject is "What do you think of girls with tattoos" and in my opnion I think it looks trashy, and it is something a lower class person does. I'm not saying a millionare doesn't go out an put a mural on her back im sure there are plenty of drunk "Britney Spears" want to bes out there.
Its not something Miss America has plastered all over her is it or how about some US Ambassador? Yes I can see some US Ambassador with a dress on and a Snake Tattoo running down her arm. However it's strange that some centerfold in Hustler does and so does the woman shooting the bird on on the back of her hog in "easy rider". I'm sorry if you are a tattoo artist and it offends you. You could paint caves for a living for all I care. Yep I have an IQ of 3 But I still think it looks trashy! | |

But it's OK if Miss America is somehow "enhanced" ? In other words, nose jobs and fake boobs are acceptable which makes them upper class by your reasoning. And how many Miss America's or US ambassadors have you seen naked lately that you can unequivocally state they have no tattoos?
You are entitled to your opinion of course and I would defend your right to speak your mind. I' m sure I can do that in some low class trashy way as not to disturb your preconceived notion of what constitutes class. | |

Some women on here are getting very defensive on this, if you like a tattoo that's fine. If you think you look better with a mural on your back and "letft and Right" on each breasst great! If you feel more sexualy attractive with a butterfly on each butt cheek great! Maybe the art on your back is for your boyfriend to look at when he is doing you doggie style, I have no idea.
However I don't like them and I gave my opinion, however there are 10 million other men who love tattoos. That is who you should persue. Some people think it's classy to have a barbell in thier tongue or have a spiked mohawk on thier head and wonder why they don't get a job as the CEO. To each their own. I personally think I have enough incriminating marks on my body already. | |

Everything that's been said CAN be true.. hence the key word here, can or could be.
Here is my story, I'm by no means trash, I was raised in a normal family, never had to want for much. I attended Boston College and graduate with honors, I hold a BA, in 2 different fields. I'm a executive in upper management. I have terrific grammer, I do quite a bit of volunteer wrok, I'm a big sister of america, I've been on 2 committees, one being the pta. I'm 38 years old.
I live in my own home, very tastefully decorated and wear nice clothes, not all designer, but most......... I have manicures, pedicures etc.
I'm self supportive, nothing I have is from someone else......
And I have a couple tattoos.
I got these in college ... I missed the beach and warmth of the summers in Florida so I had a small sunny little island with a palm tree etc put on my ankle......
Not a snake.... I also have a few flowers in a group.
HOWEVER................ I also work very hard to invent new ideas everyday to cover them up.
LOL
I may have the surgery, I've been awaiting them to perfect it.
I dont think all tattoos are trashy.... I think if you're a classy girl and you dress and carry yourself as one, then a tattoo is art..
If you're trasy, you're just trashy and the tattoo didnt make you that way.
Stop the drama... you're all wrong and right.

Personally, I wouldn't date a gal with an obvious tattoo. I was quite embarrassed being my brother's best man when his bride asked to turn a certain way for pictures so her tattoos wouldn't show. I'm sure a search would verify the number of people whom wished later in life had NOT gotten a tattoo. Any comments or statistics on that?
My ex (whom worked at a juvenile facility and has seen much), told me that in one of their "forums" employees were told that 80% of abused children would have tattoos. (keep in mind this is not a reciprocative percentage, ie= not 80% of all tattooed persons were abused) A touchy subject at the least.

I have 3 myself on my lower back, which is a cliche place to have them, but heading back to the 'tasteful' comment, I don't like them to be seen when in a professional setting, or in formal attire.
Also, I'm a believer that a lot of thought should go into it (since it is permanent) and the tattoo(s) should mean something to the person. I personally drew the main tattoo, in memory of a good friend that had died. My additional 2 are identical and are along each side of the main one, I got these while I was in New Zealand at a cool little shop in Auckland. I collaborated with the artist to come up with a unique, maori styled design fitting the ideas I'd been drawing up for a while. | |
