Posted: 11/19/2006 5:28:05 PM | Like I said a couple times, we can't appease everyone...somewhere at the start of this thread someone said Port Huron would be a good plce (it wasn't me btw, though I agree).
I then said I was familiar with the places here.....that the best place to start would be quay street....Even the guy in Ann Arbor said he's be willing to drive this way...
Then we couldn't settle on a date....some for next weekend, some for the week after...some for after the first of the year...
DId the people planning the Grand Rapids gathering have this much trouble???? | |

Good hotels and good party bars close bye could make for a great weekend. Start off with dinner there and attack the hot spots from there. I lived up there for 12 years and there is hot spots when you know when and where to find them. And the true thumb is Huron County. | |

I DO agree with Missy about keeping it an informal gathering at a place where there's stuff to do...Start off at a bar, then if people want to go bowl or shoot pool there's option to do things like that...Again that's why I suggested PH....There's a several venues all in a block's walking distance...I forgot about another bar/resteraunt in town, the HAC the Huron Athletic Club...It's got a huge pool room in the back bar...And Next door to the brew pub is ENigma with dancing....
Formal or informal, I still think it would be nice to try to put something together before the holidays get busy...That way if anybody does make a connection WHOEVER they may be may at least have a date for New Year's.... | |

Posted: 11/20/2006 8:57:40 PM | | this is a meeting time doesnt have to be rented out. there are alot of clubs, bars, and bowling places, that also have bars in them. we can find how many people would like to meet at a bowling place and go bar hoppin from there if anyone would like. its like people have said your not going to please everyone all the time. for me i work weekends and dont get off of work until 12:30 am so its hard for me to meet on weekends until latebut id still try sometimes to get out a little early. and how many people would we need room for at one time? ive only seen about 10-15 people on this board and which not all can meet at same time. | |

Mc,,,,did you happen to get together a list for that guy who was asking about motels around here?
I have this weekend coming up off,,,,,,,,lets just do it! Oh yeah,,and i also belong to another 'free' site and have posted there in their forums that we MAY be meeting.....Maybe get a few more ppl,,never know!! | |
