This thread is an interesting read...
To answer your question - it will totally be different for every girl.. there is no universal answer.. personally I don't like muscular to the point of no neck ... I don't like shaved chests whereas my friends do... I don't like shaved heads much but I have friends that do... get my point?...
I used to go for the skinny drummer type... then went the other way of like Kevin James in size... all I know is the dude has to weigh more than me - way more than me... I'm 130 lbs so 180 would be sort of a starting point...capping off at about 260 I would say...
It depends on his height too right? 175 is skinny for 6ft but chunky if yer only 5'4" I really don't care about the body so much as I need to be attracted to the face first.. then the mind.. then the rest...
But hey that's just me...

| What do you ladies prefer...Muscular, Skinny or Fat guys? Posted: 1/19/2006 2:06:30 PM | We were discussing this subject at work last night.....how a group of men will find the same female attributes attractive, while a group of women will find a whole RANGE of men attractive. My daughters and I have wildly different taste.....the youngest likes her guys 6'ish and dark haired, tending towards a little fatty, the oldest likes the slender long haired androgynous type and I prefer "manly" looking with big shoulders....the 3 of us almost never agree on which guy is hot.... If you took a father and 2 sons though, they would likely all be ogling the same sort of woman as an "ideal" hottie.
Women have a very different attitude towards attractiveness than men....not sure why, but it is definitely the case.

Thanks to tv and magazines filling thier heads. Women on the otherhabd can look different with each person. The way thier hairstyle is, clothes, the way they walk etc. Guys are limited in how to look drastically different. Most women do not like the casual look anymore and because when guys dress up and dress in fashion, they are in turn competing with all the others as it looks like "they care" about thier appearance. Take a guy like me in my pics, casual, jeans and t shirt. Most women find that unattractive now. I feel comfy in that, I won't go all out and buy all these clothes I would not feel comfy in just so that it "impresses" the women. But most men now will because most women want that look in a guy.

The woman I am seeing now is a classy dresser, never once did she try to change my casual style which is basically jeans & tee's......it is not about being comfortable in your clothes alone......more than that you should be comfortable with yourself.

Reality check, very few women ogle at pics of guys, most mags have pics of women including skin mags which are mostly purchased by men, romance novels on the other hand are largely purchased by women....you see my friend women dont look at a man physically like a man looks at a woman...hence the old saying "men fall in love with their eyes, women fall in love with words"..........before she can react to you physically you must first stimulate her mind , if you cannot stimulate her emotionally then it would not matter how you look or dress.

women fall in love with words
You couldn't be more right. For me it is all about what a man is saying....have lost my heart to skinny dweeb with 160IQ and a masters in English and to assorted lawyers....and fallen for a short hairy labour negotiator. I should maybe move to Ireland....lol
We did an informal survey last night at work....cross section of ages, there wasn't 2 women who agreed on a "hot" actor. I have a thing about Vin Diesel...but wouldn't look at Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or any of the other pretty boys.....one of the women thought Tom Arnold was hot....

| What do you ladies prefer...Muscular, Skinny or Fat guys? Posted: 1/19/2006 11:05:00 PM | Muscular? Eh, prefer someone who doesn't spend hour after hour at the gym. An obsession with one's looks is not very becoming, it's actually kinda boring! Physical strength is appealing to some extent; I’d like him to be able to pick me up easily.
Skinny? Not too, skin and bones is pokey and not fun to hug and well, you know...
Fat? Not a very nice word... but I couldn't be with someone very overweight as they'd crush me.
Prefer someone who looks healthy, has a little meat on the bones and keeps fit via regular activities like bike riding, rollerblading, walking/running, swimming, whatever.
The body is transitory and just a container for the precious treasures residing inside. For me, the package is not the be all and end all; it must contain an amazing mind, an open heart and a compassionate soul. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that he be a good, decent human being.

| What do you ladies prefer...Muscular, Skinny or Fat guys? Posted: 1/19/2006 11:21:11 PM | | I enjoyed your post serendipitee, too much of one thing is not good. Too many muscles can be bad for the heart since you have more blood to pump to your muscles. Too skinny and if you get sick you have a long struggle to get better. Too fat and you can't move around too easy. But I like the last thing which should make those other physical qualities disappear over time. | |

I'll convince Y2 J he is hot when we meet.He has a killer smile.
Oh yes that is definitely true and also thanks sweety for the compliment.
y2j...give it up. You are not going to convince us you are unattractive regardless how hard you try. Deal with it boy, you are talking yourself out of approaching women for no real reason.
Well Fox, one thing about me is...well I can't say it exactly because well..let's say that when you are a flirt which I admit I am..sometimes my bluff can be called...and then...

| What do you ladies prefer...Muscular, Skinny or Fat guys? Posted: 1/20/2006 6:33:43 AM | | Wow.... Now all of this is interesting because very few ladies out there are expressing that they want this hunky guy when it really appears to me that they do..... I personally do really well with the ladies I meet if I can ever get passed that first sight barrier. I'm a smaller guy ( 5'7 / 130 ) and it seems that personality, wit and fun take the backseat to the build in most cases...... if you can't make them think OH WOW from the very first sight, it is very hard to get them to ever pay attention to the rest....they lose their interest in the first 10 seconds of watching you approach them and all bets are off from there. | |
