Posted: 8/5/2007 10:52:27 AM | | Yes, in fact I already have, long story short.... my tumour is named Bubba, because of a strange dream I had that told me to name my baby Bubba, and well, I'm told the tumour is the size of a 6 month pregnancy - so how could I resist. My family has informed me I'm not allowed (by them - lol) to keep my tumour. Besides, where would I keep it. LOL. | |

Its a benign tumour.
I'm having the surgery because its a darn big tumour.
About 10 pounds.
Its not manditory surgery, in fact its opional, but would you want to have a 10 pound tumour - I decided against keeping it.
Honestly, this isnt life threatening, just more of a nuisance.
They are basically giving me a c-section to birth a darn big tumour.
I just look at it as a great way to loose weight.
I'm definately gonna go on the scale before and after to see how much I lost.

I guess you could always get it laminated and use it as a bowling ball .
Or have a L.E.D. light installed inside and use it as a flashy new coffee table light !
hahaha.
But to be real for a second I bet once it is out we will see a different allison

so I send out prays to you and for me so we both make it through ,
this is my second time out so if you need any support , please feel free too talk to me , I know what its like and can provide support

They released me today. Although I was supposed to be out earlier, due to complications from my surgery they kept me later as well as I now have a home care nurse everyday for the next little while.
To everyone that posted their well wishes, telephoned me and even visited me, thank you very much for all your support. I thought I'd be bored and lonely and thanks to many of you, I was kept very occupied.
That being said, I am still really sick and I'm fighting off a nasty infection. All the meds I'm taking leave me tired and very fuzzy so I think its gonna be a while until I'm back online posting and also attending events. Just know all your kindness has been very much appreciated.
ps: who wouldda thought meeks88 couldda fit a bigmac into an envelope! | |

as for my health, i'm on the mend, just the wound is infected and weeping - enough of that cause its gross - besides that though, i'm doing much better, just in a drug induced haze
i just miss my morphine pump!

Posted: 9/6/2007 12:55:55 PM | Well I thought it was time for a little update.
Friday I went to the ER on the recommendation of my nurse.
The doctors took my staples out.
Saturday my wound popped open. I looked down and well... I could see inside of me. Trust me, you dont want to know anymore of the details. Had a nice ride in an ambulance back to the ER. As a result the nurses are now packing my wound twice a day. For stomachs sake I won't say what that means here in the forums. Starting tomorrow I'm going to be hooked up to some equipment - a V.A.C. It makes a strange farting noise - and YES I swear thats the machine and not me.
So that all being said, I am recovering but its going to be a much longer road than originally anticipated. I'm going to be hooked up to the equipment for at least a month so don't expect to see my face around anytime soon.
Anyway, my final words are to thank everyone that have shown me lots of support - from the people that have brought over meals to the people that call to make sure I'm okay. I really appreciate everything everyone has done for me. On that note, I'm going to ask the moderator to lock this thread up now. Thanks once again for all your continued support.
