Pre-Nuptial Agreement?
Posted: 2/18/2009 11:33:12 AM
Pre nuptial agreements are like many other agreements are only as good as those that sign them.

That being said I have been around court cases, Lawyer's and Judges what I tend to find is that they work on there own time schedules of something like 30-60 or sometimes even 90 day increments. Plus they tend to do all the negotiations and change things as they wish and will say this is the best you can hope for. So the agreeent you sign today will probably be if brought before a court or arbritrated between parties be argued and changed into something totally different than you ever wanted or envisioned if you break up with your married partner.

This is why one should take plenty of time deciding if that other person is right for you. Give it time to see beyond the lust and shine to see the real other person. Given time you will see the other person flaws, troubles and problems. Then you can decide or have a friend help you decide if marriage is right for you.

Pre-Nuptial Agreement?

Personally, I am all for the pre-nuptial agreements. And as for the post before mine, he is very astute.
Take time to really know the other individual. It is a gamble in todays society., but I have learned
that people will be dishonest and lie and steal to meet their own ends. Regardless of the trust
and faith you have shown, you can still be taken to the bank....
S0--know up front, what is mine, will stay MINE and what is HIS can stay HIS... I do live in
a community property state -like North Carolina where they believe in stepping in and dividing your
life time accomplishments down the middle. (doesn't make any difference if he ever worked a day in his
life, he gets HALF)....S0----- I have enough sense to have an Attorney on the side- in the event:
IF ever my FOOLISH HEART takes leave of it's senses!
