| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/2/2009 7:13:30 PM | Well, I've met a few guys with no pics. But you know what? Be careful about it. I'm very good at being inconspicuous in a corner, and I'll text to tell them to stand somewhere where I can 'go meet them' and stake out a place to have a look at them first. If they've not been honest (and it happens, I've gotten a few Daddies) then I'll simply keep moving around, and texting them about how I 'didn't see them' and force them to come clean. And even then, I'm not having anything to do with them.
People never realise how much power they have over a situation. Always take initiative to go about and look first, meet second. And above all, stay out of sight. A balcony works great.

(whose profile allows us to see a glimpse of a man who appears to be unique and wiser than his stated age), of course that is just merely my opinion...which obviously seems to be worthless according to many-- as I am merely a pictureless public school educator who should not even be here because I do not post a pic and am surely ugly since I have not been married and am not thin.

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/4/2009 12:38:09 PM | O ya i've meet a lot of people in the past not knowing what they look like an only hearing a voice at the other end..course sadly they didnt have camera phones an texting an better internet access back some years ago..
so i have plenty of horror stories trapped in my mind about meeting people an not knowing what they looked like...some funny some an some just i can't belive they lied like that.
an im sure some of them talked s hit about me to.. ha so where even.
there really is no exscuse not to be able to have pics taken easily or get them uploaded..
now adays i wont dare meet somebody i haven't seen atleast a few photos of an we have talked on the phone for a little bit so i can get a vibe about them..
2 stories come to mind
1 guy i had met back then claim to say that women told him he look liked Denzel Washington,, did i belive him hell no but i meet him for the hell of it just to see
i dont know what dream he woke up from but that man looked nothing like Denzel not even his hair style,, infact when he got out of the car an stepped into the light not only was he musty it was windy that nite but he looked exactly like J.J Walker from good times.. O my dam i almost fell over from tryna keep it together..between his mustiness an the ugly beast he was.. that meeting was over in like 15minutes thank God.i just made up an exscuse saying i was going out to the club later that night with friends an needed to get going..
guy #2 claimed to be 43yrs old..i dont know why i didnt catch that considering he sounded a lot older on the phone he said he was the splitting image of Gregery hains so i was like haha ya well see?
let me tell you he looked like Gregory hines grandfather when i saw him i knew dam well better he wasn't no 43 more like 58 years old.he was completly grayed head with bits of white all around an his face looked like a prune an to top it off he had a limp when he walked.. i was so finished after that..
later on down the line i bumped into a woman who actually knew him an we got to talking she starts saying something about her dad went to school with him an his wife was not dead she divorced his lying cheating ass at the time he told me his wife was dead o another lie! an his real age was actually 57 or 58 at the time...so today he would be 63

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/4/2009 7:55:37 PM | Hi! Yes i have met people with no pic and it has turned out very bad. I am not a perfect 10 and am not shallow but i do have a realistic idea of whos out there . Both the guys i met were nice and all but 350lbs or higher. They were not honest at all about who they were. They had me believeing a few extra lbs ment 20-60 lbs over. I am 180 but i don't look it and metting people like that who are not honest enough from the beginning makes me not trust anyone. Good Luck! | |

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/7/2009 5:28:49 PM | I know someone.. TOTALLY not me..
Who made two profiles very similar.. one with photos and one without.
WoW what a diference...
just saying..
Oh, and in the picture I put up.. no smile.. Then I changed the picture to a smiling photo.. I received a Totally diferent response from the smiling picture then I received in the unsmiling, more serious picture taken at the same time.
kinda crazy..
But we are visual creatures I guess.

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/7/2009 6:28:48 PM | I actually have no pic on my site. Getting frustrated because 6 times out of 10 that really isnt the pic of that person. I just had an experience like that. The girl was nothing like she looked in her pic. As a matter of fact she was putrid. To me thats lying and cant stand liers. So thumbs up to you for giving it a try. I find there's less dissapointment when you dont know what they look like. | |

Posted: 6/9/2009 2:36:37 PM | Yes...I have met someone with out a pic before but not from here and welll let me just say this NO... looks are not everything but there has to be some kind of atraction there. No there was no attraction there what so ever for the guy. So from now on I only meet people with a pic.

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/18/2009 1:12:27 PM | No I have not ventured in that arena and probably will not. Lets me honest you can talk with a women/man all day via email/texting but if you walk into a room and you see a female/male that does not fit the body that you are looking for in a woman/man you would leave her right there, men for sure. Women we have a bit more heart than men. But, you know we would avoid his calls most likely. Even if you all had the best conversation and connection if her/his body is not what you want you will do any and everything to dump her/him. Well guess what, it is time that women start getting selective as well. What we will look pass in a man because he stimulated us mentally you will not look pass for us.
I am glad your experience turned out great, but me boss I have to give it to ya because no way in the world would I do that.

and I asked him if having no pic on his profile was an attempt to weed out the shallow people!
Actually, I post my pics up to weed out people that dislike the way I look. ^_^ It wouldn't make sense to me if a person isn't all-encompassing in terms of being attracted to.
If you look through almost every profile, people post up their best and most comfortable pics. I doubt a picture of me dancing around in circles wearing a jester's hat, drunk is a very good impression of me. ^_~
Anyway, I've contacted a few people without pictures recently, but I never received a reply or they were simply really boring to talk with/to.

I, too, do not have a photo with my profile. I just hate the idea of being judged solely by appearances, so even tho I am better than acceptable I will not post one. The amount of interest I have received with only my overlong profile is still surprising me. Several men have traveled quite a distance to meet me, sight unseen--a real plus in my book--and I have had some great dates and met someone really special. Apparently, it does happen

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/27/2009 1:08:58 AM | | Nope, never met anyone who didn't have at least one picture posted. I'm also VERY hesitant of meeting people who only have head shots posted who beat around the bush when you ask for other pictures (full body shots). Granted, I only have a head shot, but if you ask I'll gladly forward other pics too. | |

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/27/2009 5:41:08 AM | | I have and it turned out well. Contrary to popular belief not everyone without a picture is married or cheating or ugly. Some live in small communities and don't want their neighbor/co-workers knowing their business. There are many reasons people don't post a picture. Not everyone "with" a picture is all sweetness and light either. It's a gamble not matter what, so roll the dice and maybe your lucky number will come up. | |

I asked him if having no pic on his profile was an attempt to weed out the shallow people! lol He said yes..that was 80 % of it and the other part had to do with keeping a low profile for his work (he is a private pilot)
Actually, I feel that those who don't post photographs should not be able to view photographs of others - just their profiles. We all have jobs, friends and family and run the 'risk' of 'discovery!'

NO THAT IS A REAL PLAN!!
they really should start doing this on these websites..'
if you don't have atleast 2 up to date full pics an if your profile is fill with a bunch of prefer not say,, then you shouldn't be able to view everybody eles profile who has taken the few minutes to fill thiers out an upload pics..

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/28/2009 8:25:36 AM | | That concept could and probably would open a can of worms. College educated people can only view others with a college education, hair colors should match, body shapes and heights should match, interests should match, people who like walks on the beach and who think they are nice people (99.9 percent of the POF population?) should be able to view each other's profile. Pix are one facet of a person. | |

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/28/2009 12:35:43 PM | | Yes, actually I have. Like yours, he had to keep a low profile for work, since they don't approve of 'online communities' as he put it. I was nervous about meeting him, but his voice was reassuring when we talked and he told me he was nervous too. When I met him I was blown away. He was amazing online with no pic, in life he was gorgeous (and an amazing kisser!) Everytime I meet him he takes my breath away and for a moment I just have to stop and stare. We have met a couple of times, and unfortunately for me, I don't think he's interested in an actual relationship, but he's an amazing and sweet person to be with. Meeting and knowing him has been a great experience and because of that I am more willing to talk to people with no pics, tho I still practice caution. There are a variety of reasons that someone might not post a pic, whether it be because of work, to keep shallow people at bay, etc. However, a word to those with no pics... it's not neccessarily because we're shallow that we don't respond to people with no pics, it's a comfort issue. If you make me laugh and if you can hold an intelligent convo, you're pic isn't going to matter much. Just make sure your profile is thorough and it allays a lot of fears. | |

Thus I don't even waste the effort on it because I have my own issues I don't need to spend time talking to some one that can't stand to look at herself.

| Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all? Posted: 6/29/2009 4:05:05 PM | | There is more to the story are you still seeing him on a regular basis or is he available whenever. I met someone without a pic who said that he was a pilot only to meet him and he is a steward with women in every state I told him where to shove it. He was busted | |
