Posted: 11/19/2006 11:59:53 PM | Girly Woman and I thought we would drive around town thursday night to laugh at the suckers in line up in the freezing cold..
Yeah right.. we were looking for a line up that was shorter then the amount of PS/3s listed on the doors :)
We saw one store where there was 6 units.. and about 16 people in line. Thats just stupid.
We went home and enjoyed our evening... then tried the Best Buy "auction".. what a joke that was.. we laughed all day having a good time.. didnt get one.. but it was really fun!!!
Today.. I got a Wii. I didnt stand in line. I didn't freeze. I didn't fight online for it.. i pre purchased it .. and I think its an excellent fun neat way to play games.. I am glad i got it vs the PS/3.. | |

I figure it will take him all of about half an hour! lol He slept almost 24 hours after I picked him up yesterday. Only woke up long enough to fill his huge cavity he calls a tummy and then back to bed! He looks much better today but still has sore legs and face from bearing the elements all nite! lol. But like I said, I think just standing in line all nite with others who were so kind and sharing gave him a memory he will never forget! Oh to be young again!!! | |

Posted: 11/28/2006 9:55:16 AM | I bought an x-box 360 for $449 which included 4 games, controller, system, etc. The games are usually $60 or $70 so it IS a real deal.
Great marketing, waiting for PS3 system to come out and then releasing the new package.
But it's actually a gift for the family, not a money maker.
It doesn't matter to me which system it is, but those who know the different games and stuff have more expensive taste than I do! Must be nice to have more money than brains. | |

True to find a Blueray DVD player for even close to that price, let alone one that plays PS2 and PS3 games.
For those complaining about it being too expensive, then don't buy it then. No one is forcing you to. If you can't afford it for games, then you can get a nice used Atari 2600 off ebay to play. ;) | |

First off - we sell a version of Atari and sold out LOL.
Second - Wii's are arriving in the stores weekly so shouldn't be too hard to get one.
Third - PS3's are also starting to arrive...and yes the 60's not 20's.
Fourth - Xbox, nintendo DS lite and gameboys are all offering extra games etc to pick up the slack left by the ps3 fiasco/

I mean, for that money you could buy a way better computer that could do so much more. I remember when the ps2 came out it was this bad as well and they had the same suply and demand issues. Called the store this morning and I guess Christmas shoppers are getting a little hot under the collar...people getting mad that we sold out so fast...others demanding they get one anyway etc.
Come on folks, it's Christmas!
All these same systems will be sitting on the shelves collecting dust in a month so relax!

The PS3 needs time to work out the bugs, build games for it, and come down in price a bit more. (Took the PS2 a year or two) The Nintendo Wii doesn't impress me much...yes they have more games and a lot lower in price...but, it's just not as impressive as the other consoles are. The XBOX 360 is dominating right now...it would be a safer bet to buy that one for now and then go back eventually to the PS3 when it's hype and price dip down slightly. | |
