I love old fashioned girls, but they dont seem to exist all that much anymore. I dated an obvious old-fashioned woman from Mexico...she found me too new-fashioned, otherwise we'd still be together.

| Do men still look for old fashioned girls? Posted: 12/26/2007 9:55:27 AM | Firstly, you might want to define what "old fashioned" means to you. Its kinda like talking about dieties and "gods", when no one agrees as to which is, and what are.
What exactly does "old fashioned" mean? I think a person will find the definition as varied as the men and women whom adhere to it. And as individual as their personal ethics about. Just like a persons dieties or diety of choice.
The point is that there's no common understanding of the term, much like the other term thrown about "common sense".
It becomes simply a matter of "old fashioned" being a personal choice in mentality and attitude. Much like when one submits to a religious preference and its forms of understanding this reality.
Secondly, being "old fashioned" in ones ways, without any moral athority or understanding to back it, well, its not just anachronistic, its intrinsically stupid. As many people whom follow "dating rules" act very much like a person whom follows "old fashioned" rules arbitrarily, and are just as stupid because they behave so.

But we're not. Things change and people with them. But I think the basic qualities we look for in people stays the same.

Very true, I am quite shy...but every man I've shared a bed with says he cant keep up...I may take my time in the picking process, and go a long time without sex (have gone years before)...but once I have a partner, LOOK OUT!
Most of my buddies are men. They whine that all the good girls are gone. They meet a nice one, are attracted to that nice one...make a few good dates...then go out to the bar and bang some britney wannabe, ruining what they had with the nice one...I dont understand sometimes....

I wouldnt dream of having a one night stand its meaningless, i dont do drugs or wear skirts like napkins. If i wear a skirt its with tights, an attractive yet dignified combination. I begin to wonder if most men do want the 'good time' girl , but old fashioned girls can be mysterious, which can also be sexy

| Do men still look for old fashioned girls? Posted: 12/27/2007 10:50:06 AM | Damn straight.
Enough of the: potheads drunks freaks bulimics alcoholics nutjobs lesbians bi-sexuals liars cheaters pedophiles "bunny burners" chip-on-shoulder divorcees gun-toting motorcycle-riding Californians kids-out-of wedlock'ers etc. etc.
I've had experience with every "item" on that list and many many more and...
...give me an old-fashioned God-fearing Catholic girl/wife who wants children, a home, church, life, peace..with a little bit of "nymphomania" when the lights go out.
Amen. Class dismissed.

I like a classy lady who still dresses up and likes to be catered to and has some morals as opposed to someone who is always cussing and calling their kids names or leaving them alone, etc.

If it is a lady who it honest, loyal, devoted and family orientated, then yes, that is the sort of lady I would like to meet.
Do ladies like that still exist, hmm good question.

Back to "Impressing someone" again with that shining knight routing huh???
LOL... Dont know what boys you are talking about 13 - 90 huh?? I noticed you didnt capitalize men in your statement, but you did capitalize Lady.... maybe its one of those Freudian things... Just curious... when did you begin to loath being a Man??
In a world where Equal opportunity means 'hand outs' one must be carefull of definitions both for Men and Women.

kids-out-of wedlock'ers this rarely happens to people who marry before having sex
what would the world be like if everyone married prior to hopping into the sack? we just be a little more selective?

definitions both for Men and Women. No matter how many laws are passed no matter what thinking is changed. Definition will remain the same. Day is day, night is night from the beginning of time.
when did you begin to loath being a Man?? In public a real Lady would not say sh!t if she had a mouth full! I wake up every day and thank God I was born a man. I find it real easy to being a man opposed to being a real lady. I can do and say what I want. ( might be called a$$ but not unmanly) A woman can too but then she's not a lady. Now if you want to know the real difference between men and boys. When a man give's his word it is not broke not matter the cost. When he says it will be done, it will be. He only will lie to protect his loved one's only from their physical harm. He does not follow trends or fads he leads his child or children in what is right, not what is accepeted, or what they want. He will not stab you in the back to get ahead even if he does'nt know you, he provides for himself and his family as he should and the list goes on. All boys know what is on the list few find the backbone to live up to it now days. Any man can look in his heart mind and soul and know what is right ( not acceptable) and has no trouble knowing that if he is not doing all these things. He don't fit the bill. He is doing what he feels like not what he should. And I do not have to impress anyone, knowing what should be done and what was right all ready cost me two of the thing's I cared and loved most for in this world and I would still have to do the same thing again.
No Sir I believe it is you sir who loath's being a man. Because I have not described anything in any of my post but manly quality's. I have no trouble following them in fact I find it enjoyable.
Male or female I loath the act's of, liar's cheat's, ho's whore's, sleeping around and those who take the easy way out.
