| New Monthly event, Calgary Ethnic Food night.
Posted: 4/5/2007 9:51:51 AM | We need some suggestions for the next Ethnic Foods Night as well as any volunteers who would be interested in hosting this months event.
So far, we've experienced Mongolian, Nepalese, Greek and Ethiopian cuisine! Large or small, these events are always alot of fun so let's try to keep this going!

Ugh, message too short! What else can I possibly say about this. I like Japanese food, I would be interested in going, never hosted an event but it might be worth experiencing, oops did I just say that outloud? hehehe  | |

Thank you for the message. 
I did see msg 31, which I might say sounds like an awesome place. But I also wanted to give people the opportunity to make other suggestions if they so wanted to.
As for the date I am not quite sure yet as I am waiting on a confirmation date for my next board meeting with the CDA. As soon as this date is confirmed I will let y'all know the date for the next Ethnic Food Night. | |

Hey Everyone,
I know people are busy getting ready for Easter but I just wanted to throw this out there to anyone who is interested in attending this months Ethnic Food Night.
I will be taking suggestions up until Tuesday night. As of Wednesday morning I will be making some phone calls and coming to a decision as to where and when this will be taking place.
So if you have a favorite Japanese restaurant and would like it to be considered for this event please let me know either on here or thru an email.
Can't wait. This is going to be awesome! | |

I just came to know about these monthly get togethers. So when is the next one and where and what type of food/dish is selected for this time. I love to come and bring whatever is required...I am a great cook.

There is a sign up for this event on the main page entitled Calgary Ethnic Food Night: April 23rd.
It is being held at a restaurant so no one has to cook. All you need to do is come with an appetite!

Posted: 7/21/2007 5:34:18 PM | Ok - no one is stepping up to the "plate" (pun intended) so I'm going to get this rolling again. I miss these.
I have ideas for the next two. I would like people's thoughts please.
August - I want to host a potluck/bbq thing as suggested in this thread in the spring. I'll organize it if my roomie is up for it. If she's not into it - I'll do it at a park. I will keep you posted on the date but it will be either August 18 or August 25. I would like input before picking the date.
September - I want to host an Italian dinner night. Date and location to be determined.
Please post interest here and I'll get them both going.

Not too sure where they have moved but i could look it up. My work schedule has been the suck lately (more or less only work during late afternoon/evenings.
I will contact them and post it here and such.
