I'm in! & if you need any help, I'll pitch in however I can.
.. Mon Cherie, I hosted a family gathering at one of the parks, I have some info from the City of Calgary Parks & Rec, that I can pass on. It turned out great, but maybe later in the summer is better... it was too light out for our "bonfire" to feel appropriate in early July!

August - I want to host a potluck/bbq thing as suggested in this thread in the spring. I'll organize it if my roomie is up for it. If she's not into it - I'll do it at a park. I will keep you posted on the date but it will be either August 18 or August 25. I would like input before picking the date.

I know how to cook a few things when I have to. Entree or dessert ??
The culinary delights have been missed as much as the socializing with those in attendance.

Darn, looks like both the weekends in August are not going to work out for me. So we'll have to give up on the potluck 'for now' as I can't see doing that on a week night, only a weekend.
Sen - can you do the Sultan's Tent in August - maybe back to a Tuesday like before? That would be awesome.

Posted: 8/7/2007 5:20:56 PM | Thing is my schedule for the whole month of August is rather not helping out. I work either 1-9pm/2-10pm or 3-11pm for this month. My days off are Sunday 12th, Sat 18 Sun 19 and Sat 25th.... Damn this month blows....
So ahem, not sure i can do much this month at all =(
Sure a promotion is nice but damn my so called social life blows nowadays...
So unless we do it a Sunday, not much i can do, for this month anyway. | |

It would also give us an hour to drop off vehicles at the zoo and make it to Bowness so we wouldn't be breaking the "no swimming for an hour after eating" rule. | |
