| Italian? Posted: 8/10/2007 8:18:03 PM | I hear there's a fantastic Italian place in Brigeland. I've not tried it yet, but it's a favourite of a co-workers. I belive it is in a house, and Mama is the cook. I have had Antolini's on 17th. Fantastic family-owned restaurant, the Father & 2 sons who own it had a restaurant in Toronto for about 25 years. They even brought me into the kitchen at the end of the night! And a 3rd suggestion for a Festività Italiana is Il Chianti on Edmonton Trail & 20th Ave NE.
Unless of course, someone else has a suggestion? (sorry, I'm an ideas person... I just need help with the follow-through!)
Mange, mange, mange! | |

| Italian? Posted: 8/11/2007 12:45:40 PM | OK, I'll talk with the grumpy old man from work on Monday, & see what the name of it is. I think a friend & I drove past it, with all intent of going there, but it had people spilling out of the doors (or, maybe just outside smoking). I'll get the details on Monday then... hopefully they are open sundays! | |

If you posted it in the events thread it will eventually get moved over by the Big Fish once he approves it and makes sure it is within the boundaries of this site.
If in a day it still has not been moved over where people can sign up, you can always email him. That is what I did and it was moved over immediately.
I hope that helps, good luck, and have a great time!
I just wish I could join you guys.

| New Year... New Dinners?? Posted: 1/20/2008 5:57:05 PM | Perhaps with all the discussions regarding Canadian culture and identity, we should have a "Canadian" Ethnic Food Night or even an "Alberta" Ethnic Food Night. I know of a great restaurant that serves nothing but beef entrees and it's fantastic!

Buzzard's Restaurant and Bar serves bison and there are probably others that do as well.

Graze Restaurant & Grill Located inside the Executive Royal Inn north Calgary, Graze offers a unique grill experience by offering an all-beef menu. No Chicken, no pork, no fish on the menu. Speaking about their menu, it's seven feet tall; too large to be brought to the table, guests have to go to it and are invited to sample flambéed steak bites grilled right in front of them—and can ask the chef any questions about dining choices. And choices include a 5lb steak, 64oz drinks and a 100+ salad bar.
