Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But its better not eat at all, then eat some pastries full of sugar!
I've got 3 reasons:
1) CHEAP
2) FAST
3) EASY
No food is prepared by me that does not meet all three requirements...speaking of which, I'm hungry. Time to throw another frozen pizza in the oven. | |

i'd prefer to take pride from my european heritage.
eating shit or even not eating anything for breakfast is just one example of how ignorant, stupid, gluttonous americans are.
americans dont know jack shit when it comes to nutrition.
everyone should eat a balance of carbohydrates( the more complex the healthier), protein , and fat for breakfast.
eating refined carbohydrates or simple sugars , all by themselves is not typically healthy because glucose amd monosaccharides are released too rapidly into the blood stream you need other essential macromolecules or at least fiber(cellulose) to slow the break down of mono saccarides. the body seeks to maintain ihomeostatis.
firing sugar into the blood stream all at once isnt good for u.
neither is abstaining from food all together in the morning hours, this will make your metabolism sluggish.
this is why americans are the filthy big fat sacs of crap they are.
if more people ate a healthy breakfast, there would be a lot less fat sacs of crap out there.
skipping breakfast makes u fat. (in many cases) same with eating shit
advice to my fellow gluttonous arrogant americans
learn a little about nutrition , before u defend your digusting habits.

It is a scientific fact that we crave sweets when we are tired, and I have a sleep disorder and only get a few hours sleep a night, and without something sweet in the morning to raise my blood sugar, I am doomed - I would faint in the shower without raising my blood sugar. Not all of us have the capability to eat as healthy as we would like. | |

Posted: 12/1/2006 2:55:16 AM | We eat pastries because the French brought us croissants and all that kind of good stuff! We Americans used to eat hairy buffalohide for breakfast then those danged Pilgrims brought us pancakes and coffee. There was no turning back!
Edit: Thanks for the nuritional info lora. But with all the fiber you're getting, you still look mighty constipated there! Its not what you're eating, kid, but what's eating you? Whats ticking you off that much? Scary!! | |

What i think its scary is how many of you defend this problem....

Obviously since grocery stores still sell eggs, yogourt, shredded wheat, and all that good stuff. The girl from France who lived with us this past year would pack away the carbs in the morning, bread, nutella, pie, pancakes, anything that she could find. It is all a matter of personal taste and preferance. What about tradtional :English" breakfasts that you get in hotels in the UK. Stewed tomatoes, sausage, eggs, beans. I hated them because I didn't like the taste but there is nothing inherently wrong with it. | |

First of their delicious but a danish doesnt fit into my diet until later in the day but i do dabble on occasions and i love them. Its the most important meal atleast there is some sort of food intake. | |

Posted: 12/5/2006 12:58:10 PM | Breakfast for me....whatever is left over from last nights dinner & a glass or 2 of juice....so this morning it was Garlic / Chicken Pizza and Apple juice. No proccessed sugars for me....at least not till after lunch, my stomach would revolt.
I see no posts about diving into danishes here....OMG....could that mean not ALL Americans are fat snarfing pigs????
But now Im hungry.....anyone have any pickles? | |

It consisted of a meal that we North Americans would eat for dinner.........fish, meat, salads, yadda yadda. I was not sure of whether or not my stomach could handle that so early in the day but when in Rome......
Yes breaky is the most important meal of the day but we as a majority don't stock pile our bodies with sugar and fillers for the morning start. Sometimes a good Tim's doughnut and coffee can perk up your day..........but to each his own. | |
