Uh..... DONKEYPIMP.... were you trying to say "fertility" or "fidelity"?
Neither. I know what both of those mean. Therefore, using either one of those words would have been boring. Actually, I learned that word in another post I read that day, and it was probably a misspelling. Which is why I shall now proceed to provide my own definition - it officially(according to me) means pine-scented flatulence.
Why am I having this conversation with you, anyway?
We'll just take it to mean that at a minimum, you understand what DONKEYPUNCH means, lol!!!
Holy crap, I just got lolled!
Probably got that knuckle sandwich knocking on an old-school driver's door in the wrong place
I'm not sure what that means, but I'm guessing you were making some sort of reference to motorcycle cops. FYI, motorcycles don't have driver's doors. Just so you know for next time.

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/19/2008 1:02:19 AM | | Not everyone does...Some of us prefer either other foods or opt out of such foods due to food allergies, food sensitivities, etc. As a rule, I'm not a big fan of pastries or cereal for breakfast, I'd rather have lunch or dinner foods for breakfast. And I usually have tea and occasionally coffee with milk, still looking for a lactose free milk that can stand up to heat....One of these days I'll find a breakfast routine, now I'm on trial and error, if it does not pass the allergy test, I don't buy it again... | |

Donkey!!! Long time, but thanks for the kudos on the lol'ed, lol!!!
I was talking about your friend who ate donuts and had probably been into the Maker's Mark when I made the commentary about knocking on the wrong door. The day motorcycles have doors I'll uh.... get back to you on that one.
I was poking at the cops who sit in the median within radio range of the homos who sit in the rest areas and solicit truckers as we ride by, and get speeding tickets because aid cops are in tinkywinky-assed bed with the homos in the pickle-park. Can't interrupt their damn donut-stacking contest now, can ya?

Posted By: Jon_Duan06 best thing I found to eat for breakfast is all-bran cereal with dried cranberries and a cut up banana, makes all-bran cereal taste a hell of alot better
Thats essentially because... you can't make all-bran taste worse.
*********** To the OP:
We eat what we eat because... WE LIKE IT.
Some idiot in France decided to eat a snail... (He was probably starving to death) Then it probably got to be some kind of "macho" challenge for drunk guys... And eventually it got to be considered a "delicacy" (which is essentially French for "If you're stupid you'll eat this")

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/21/2008 10:53:51 AM | | Its called a personal choice dear & I get so tired of foreigners labelling us for everything little thing that Americans do. In our country, breakfast is a personal choice & unless you've done some personal statistical study to prove that all of us are gouging on donuts, etc. every morning... your bias theory is pointless. Most foreigners dont even want to live in their own damn country & flock here by the millions & then want to sit around criticizing every thing they see when they arrive. And believe me, no body here cares what you're eating for breakfast or any other meal of the day, and if ya dont like it..... well, you know the rest. | |

Then they can all get hungry and have irregular blood sugar all morning and eat more crap, feel like crap, become obese, diabetic, and have high blood pressure. Then they go to the M.D. who runs a bunch of tests on their company insurance, makes a ton of money and writes a perscription to take a bunch of meds for health problems so the pharmasutical companies get their piece of the pie, along with the insurance companies, and the doctors. If Americans ate healthy, just think of the huge loss to those industries.
I usually have protein, fruits or fresh vegs and everyone looks at me like I am crazy.

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/21/2008 6:54:51 PM | | They do it in Europe too... in Italy breakfast isn't that big a deal. They'll eat a croissant or danish w/coffee or just have coffee. They think having an "American" breakfast of bacon and eggs in the morning is gross. When I was in Greece breakfast for the locals there was a cigarette and a coffee....LOL | |

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/22/2008 12:52:29 PM | | The United States is nearing a population of 300 million so I just don't understand the enormous lumping in of all Americans in this post. We are broken up into several regions as well so it amuses some and baffles others when all Americans are lumped into one large amalgamate that all think alike, dress alike and even eat alike. There is the northeast, the southeast, the south, the midwest, the northwest, the southwest and the west coast. I have eaten things in every part of the country that disgust me but they, as Americans are allowed to eat and like or dislike whatever they want to. Percentage-wise, most Americans do not eat pastries or pancakes for breakfast although some do eat those things from time to time. IN a country of nearly 300 million, a lot of panckaes will be eaten even though it isn't a large percentage of the population. If you're seeing pastries, you're seeing them in hotels or convenience stores. They are served in chain hotels because they are cheap and easy to serve. They also have long shelf lives. Most Americans do NOT eat pastries on a normal basis but again, if they want to eat them, that is their God-given right to eat them. But as to the ones who are eating pastries and pancakes, I'm sure most didn't know they were offending some people sitting around them. We all may not think alike or agree on what is good or bad or even what tastes good or tastes like crap, but most Americans will agree that anyone can eat whatever they want. And we won't even be made to feel guilty by anyone else. Now I'm going to eat some eggs over easy and some sausage links and whatever the guy next to me is eating won't bother me one iota. I would even enjoy someone singing God bless America as I shovel down my food. | |

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/22/2008 1:23:11 PM | ok...I didn't read every page of this thread but didn't the original poster say he was Scandinavian? Aren't they knowns as Danes? (opening myself up to be completely wrong because I can't recall what part of "Scandinavia" he is from) but ummm...isn't that where breakfast pastry came from...at least one of the places....ya know...the term DANISH for breakfast pastry? LOL
Danish pastry From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia • Have questions? Find out how to ask questions and get answers. •Jump to: navigation, search Danish pastry is, like the croissant, said to originate from Vienna and is called wienerbrød (IPA: ['?i??n??b??œ??ð], lit, "Viennese bread" (corresponding to the French Viennoiserie) in Denmark as well as Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In Vienna, however, the pastry is known as "Kopenhagener Gebäck" or "Dänischer Plunder"[1], and its origin may well be the Turkish baklava[citation needed].
A glazed apple Danish.Danish pastry is a sweet pastry which has become a speciality of Denmark and is popular throughout the industrialized world, although the form it takes can differ significantly from country to country. The ingredients include flour, yeast, milk, eggs, and generous amounts of butter. A yeast dough is rolled out thinly, coated with butter, and then folded into numerous layers. If necessary, the dough is chilled to ease handling. The rolling, buttering, folding, and chilling is repeated several times to create a dough which is buttery and flaky. However, not all danishes are made this way.
A Danish varies significantly from country to country and region to region. In the UK, various ingredients such as jam, custard, apricots, raisins, flaked almonds, pecans or caramelized toffee are placed on or within sections of divided dough, which is then baked. Cardamom is often added to increase the aromatic sense of sweetness.
In the US and Canada, Danish pastries are typically given a fruit or sweet bakers cheese[1] topping prior to baking. Danish pastries with nut fillings are also popular.
The Danish as consumed in Denmark can be topped with chocolate, sugar or icing, and may be stuffed with either jam, marzipan or custard. Shapes are numerous, including circles with filling in the middle (known as "Spandauer's"), figure-eights, spirals (known as snails), and the pretzel-like kringles.

| Why in the name of god do americans eat pastries for breakfast? Posted: 6/22/2008 2:32:56 PM | | Invading other countries without consent seemed to be a personal choice, but doesn't make it right. The reason everyone is jumping on the americans about health is the same reason a mother or father should look out for the health of their children. If your a healthy American, all the power but a large majority is obese. Studies have shown that it is because there are so many large cities and obesity is higher in the cities... More temptation from fast food and their marketing companies means more people are going to eat that stuff. It doesnt matter what large city in the world your in, theres a higher obesity because of the foods shoved in your face except its a bit higher in the states. I just dont understand why in the south they deep fry your toast alongside the greasy eggs. Health is more important than anything in your life, why wouldn't you want to respect that? Many people here are from all over the world and have traditional eating habits, especially breakfast which is good for you. You will loose weight if you eat a healthy breakfast... You will live longer too... You wont tie up the hospital and insurance systems with claims. Theres choices you can make and choosing frosted mini wheats is still better for you than lucky charms, or pastries.... Just one person looking out for the other. | |
