Posted: 11/8/2008 1:48:08 PM | I didn't have any pictures marked for others to see, but I could see them and still can. But if I try to attach them to emails or open them up on my profile, I get the box with the x.
I tried following your directions, start menu, run, type Command, enter and I get message The system file is not suitable for running MS DOS and microsoft windows applications. My operating system is Microsoft XP and sure don't understand this.
But then I'm old and computer dumb..........so you want to explain all this to me and walk me through it? Grin..........Thanks | |

Posted: 11/8/2008 4:40:32 PM | Only one image out of several does not show up. It is my primary image. It is a headshot. It does not show up in my profile view when I am logged in and viewing my profile from within my account.
I am a computer tech myself, so I know that either all the images should show up or none of them, but here are those DNS numbers anyway since you asked.

Posted: 11/8/2008 4:58:40 PM | To me it almost looks like it may be image corruption of the larger images. One of my 7 images would not display. I re-uploaded the same image and it now appears. However it is possible to be sitting on a different physical or virtual server than the original?
It is very frustrating to say the least. | |

 | Possible, could be any Number of Factors ... but an Image you uploaded last Year and another one recently are highly unlikely to be on the same Server. |

Yet if I leave the image name off http://pics.plentyofsite.com/dating/54/ I reach the actual server as an Access Denied to the virtual directory is returned.
For what little I know about DNS, this certainly appears to be directly related to either corrupt file names or images that no longer exist??? | |

b) the router doesn't belong to me, it belongs to the landlord who owns the property, and is in his house. i'm not about to go messing around with someone else's router.
c) this is a personals website. i would expect the pictures to load properly (as they've been doing for at least two months now) without me having to go in and mess with the workings of my computer (which i wouldn't do regardless- you really think i, someone who doesn't know jack-all about computer programming, am going to follow the directions to go messing around inside my computer posted here by some complete stranger? really?). | |

Then don't post them, since the Instructions are about as clear & demonstrative as it could possibly get, and since there are Hundreds of different Routers about, the Instructions serve as a general Outline. Beyond that see the Manual for your Router.

Give him a call, he'll give you the info over the Phone. Secondly, posting the DNS Infos is simply to assist the Admin to trace back Problems, which have nothing specifically to do with your Router.

You are on a free Site, and you'll wait until the Admin has resolved the Server/HDD Issues.

let me know what is the problem OR what to do so that the pics will show up when I attach them to messages I send to other members.
FYI: I CAN see the pics, but the receiver cannot see them when I attach them to the email I send them.

Open the Start Menu and enter the Control Panel.
Double-Click the Taskbar and Start Menu Icon.
On the Start Menu Tab, click the Button saying Customize.
In the Box that pops up you should see two Tabs.
Click on Advanced and in the Field titled Start Menu Items: ... scroll down to the Option Run Command.
Check this Box, Click OK, then apply the Changes on the first Start Menu Tab and Run should be back in the Start Menu.
i was able to upload 3 pictures but can't upload more.
