| Images not showing up issues here...[Read the OP] Posted: 12/20/2006 6:30:32 PM | 192.168.0.1...these are the DNS numbers
if you have the above please use the following directions and repost
If you are getting 192.168.xxx.xxx as a DNS #, you are going through a router (eg. Dlink, Linksys, Netgear etc.) you need to log in to the router and get the DNS in this fashion if possible:
- Bottom left hand corner of your browser, click on your "start" menu and then click on "run"
- Type cmd (winXP and 2000 users) and press enter
- At the command prompt black window that just opened with the flashing cursor, type "ipconfig"
- check the number beside "default gateway" 192.168.xxx.xxx or whatever it is
- open another browser window and type the same # in the address bar in this format --> http://192.168.xxx.xxx where the xxx.xxx are the numbers you got from the above points
- a window will pop up asking you user/pass (check your router manual for that info unless you have changed it
- once in the interface of the router look on top or on the left side for "setup" and then "status" or (sometimes status is on the 1st window when you login to the router), you will see IP address and DNS or static dns in that window and post them

| Images not showing up issues here...[Read the OP] Posted: 12/26/2006 9:56:40 AM | | I've also noticed some profiles that have more than the allowed 8 photos. Is this a bug? Did some of the members here discover an exploit? Or are they granted special priviliges? Just wondering that's all. | |

hopefully this will fix the problem on my profile, so my pictures will be restored.

If you're not able to follow the instructions, just wait it out, or find a friend that can go through the steps - the problem is temporary.

Check to see if it's in that folder.

Slenderchikk DNS Servers Numbers = the IP Address of YOUR Internet Service Provider's Servers. This number cannot be in the form 192.168.xx.xx. If it is in that form, then the DNS Server Numbers are being masked by your router. If so, follow the steps in Msg77.

Run NSlookup pics.plentyofsite.com if there is a problem.

| Images not showing up issues here...[Read the OP] Posted: 1/7/2007 12:29:42 PM | To moderator I have read message 1 and followed your steps to the letter. And the ip address and DNS are different from what I have found in cmd. I have tried to change them and I am not successful is there another way? I am running pro 2000
The intent of the instructions is to post the DNS, but if you were getting 198.xxx.etc, you had to follow a different set of instructions - so now that you have the numbers, and they are in fact different - post them !
Admin uses these numbers to determine where the problems lie in the network(s).
