I am unable to upload a pic. its a Jpeg file - size if 160KB.
I am getting the below error message:
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Posted: 4/19/2009 12:09:00 PM | I'm seeing sporadic "red X's". On my own profile, only one of the seven images displays, the other six are "red X's".
On other people's profiles, I see some "red X's" and some normal picture display.
My own pictures have been up here for a while, why are are they suddenly not displaying? Someone else mentioned this to me, I didn't realize that you have removed them? or that you were having difficulties serving images??

Posted: 4/22/2009 11:17:02 AM | I've only gone through the people who have posted on this page, but of the ones complaining that their pictures are only showing red X's, every one of those pictures is located in this sub-directory:

There are a couple pictures located there that work properly, but the vast majority display the thumbnails okay but won't show up if they're chosen to display in the main picture area. | |

The thumbnails all look fine, but clicking on them or hovering over them will only one, or on a good day, three, of the seven I have on there.

Did you upload all of your pictures about the same time? I'm not sure how the system decides where it's going to store your images, but it looks like the locations probably cycle - all new uploads go to one directory, then after a certain period of time it changes location. If you upload two today and three tomorrow, you might end up with the two batches in different sub-directories.
Try uploading another picture and see where it ends up. If it's in a different directory than the problem one (46) you'll probably be safe deleting your other photos and uploading them again. Getting them out of that bad directory should fix the display problem until Admin can do something about it.
If you try it and it works, please come back and let us know. | |

These photos were all added over the period of a a few months and all of them have been up there for at least six months. I have not changed any. This problem of them not displaying seems to have occurred within the last few weeks. | |
