Posted: 1/22/2007 5:01:39 PM | Hi ... if I look at a profile which has a pic there is no full size picture available, just the text "dating" where the full size pic would normally appear.
If the profile has more than one pic then the thumbnail size pics appear in their normal position. If I click on one of the thumbnails then a full size of the thumbnail appears where it would normally.
It is just that without clicking on one of the thumbnails, there is no full size pics.
If the profile only has one pic ... neither the full size image nor the thumbnail appear on the profile. Only, as I said before the text "dating" with the full size image would normally appear.
This has been going on for about 7-10 days ... the same thing occurred about 4-6 weeks ago, but cleared up ... this time the problem seems to be lasting longer.

seems to be a variant of the main thread topic here, I've seen it too, usually goes away ...
but if you'd like to post your DNS numbers as per the intructions in message 1, please feel free.

If there was an easier way to troubleshoot the issue, it would have been posted, Admin still needs the numbers.

| Temporary DNS Fix
Posted: 1/23/2007 5:13:08 PM | Some DNS servers take longer than others to update. It make take a few days for some servers to suck in the new information. A temporary fix to the problem is to manually add a ip/hostname mapping in your hosts file.
If I remember correctly the windows hosts file is found in C:/WINDOWS/system32/hosts
Open this file with a text editor (notepad) and add the following line to the end of the file:
216.58.96.39 pics.plentyoffish.com
DO NOT FORGET to remove this line in a couple days when your upstream DNS servers get the new information. Otherwise if the IP addresses changes the images will break again. | |

Please help! The small pics are showing up but the main pics are not (just a small red "x")

Try clicking on the thumbnails, they should rotate up to the main image and be ok, at least in my experience that solved the problem of seeing them full size for the time being until a more permanent solution is found - may not work in all cases though.

I have no profile pic and can't see pic's on site.
Just get my pic and everyone else's pic's so i can see them..
The problem is not at the site's end, it's at your ISP's network end.
