Posted: 12/31/2006 7:37:35 PM | I sold mine (20yrs ago) and bought things my children needed at that time. I had no emotional attachment to my rings; as I was not married any longer. Passing them down to my children wasn't even a consideration. I would rather give them positive meaningful gifts....not symbols from a broken marraige.
I would have returned the carat diamond (from Birks!), to my ex-husband if he had actually purchased it with me in mind. He purchased it for a different lady........hence.......sell. sell, sell!! End of cycle. | |

Yeah, I have a feeling about that too.
The only nice big one I ever had I hawked....for 500 bucks! eeks, it was "worth" alot more, however....
I have rings from 2 other guys (including my ex) but they are Canardly diamonds....you know, can 'ardly see 'em

the jeweller down the street said he'd do it for $100. it'd cost more if i wanted some decoration. i can't think of better way to spend the money from returning my POF summer empties.

That being said.. my wedding /engagment ring are put away for my daughter when or if she wants them. I don't believe that they are a symbol of a broken relationship. I want her to think of them as a token of when mom and dad were in love, happy times. Although i don't have any garbage baggage hate issues regarding my ex.. in fact he's a decent guy.. | |
