Hey....Deeeceeee GOT HER COCHLEAR IMPLANT about 5 months ago!!! YEAH! And we had the awesome opportunities to meet, not once, but twice! We met 1st when she came to St. Louis for a convention....then we were roomates in Vegas last month for the same convention! She rocks! :)))) (Love and miss you Darelynn!!!) | |

iam hearing impaired, anyways its not hard for guys to date a deaf gurl or hearing impaired. as long as this person is understandable n willin to give a chance to get to know u better, or willin to know how to do a sign lanuage. after all it should effect them guys only if they r happy wit tha person they r wit. to be honest nobody is perfect so why do guys need to worry? cause one day all of us gonna get old n will have alot of health problems later on in life like: hearing loss, goin blind, health problems etc etc.
btw i can talk n hear so iam not that deaf, n i met ma ex bf off this POF n were together for like 8mths, he accepted me for who iam at least we both can talk n i can hear which is a good things for me. but hey if a guy doesnt accept u for tha way u r then he is not worth it find tha one who will accept u n willin to learn about u :)
ma ex n i dont rilli talk much even tho we broke up last mth over a silly arguments deep down i still love him but im givin him a time. besides its nothin to do wit bein deaf or cant hear or cant talk, its something wut makes u unique all i can say is be ur self n love ur self b4 u fall for love :)
so i hope it works out in tha end....find tha one who accepts u for tha way u r n that who doesnt mind u bein deaf doesnt mean ur different we all r tha same but its our personality that makes us different is wut makes us unique for us to fall in love wit one another.
so try not to worry about that :) i suggust u be friends wit tha person n u should be up front about ur deafness :) then it shouldnt be a problem for both of u n tha person u have been talkin to.
those who i have spoken to n accepted it n understand it some of them we still talk :) also ma ex - we gonna stay friends so im happy wit that atleast, so all i can say its nothin to do wit bein how deaf u r...

Posted: 3/24/2008 7:30:05 PM | I almost felt that feeling of love at first sight whenever I was helping this mostly-deaf girl who needed some help at my retail job. She was reading my lips just fine and I was using hand gestures that was helping her to understand what I was talking about. I tried to listen to what she was saying but she ended up having to write much of what she was saying out, but she was patient and I was patient and everything was good. I was seriously going to ask her out to dinner but then she told me she had to have her BOYFRIEND come in to make a decision. She just walked away with my heart that night, and then she even turned back to look at me as I watched her.
Was she the prettiest girl I had ever seen? No, but she was VERY sweet and easy to communicate with despite the obvious hurdles. | |

After she left, her friends came up to me and thanked me for spending the time talking to her even though she was deaf. I was amazed! It never crossed my mind she was deaf. She obviously could lip read, and I just thought she had a cute accent. Considering the noisy environment we were in, she probably had an easier time understanding me than I did her. Apparently she had a great evening. I would have gone out with her again if I'd had the chance. | |

May work out since the players can't use the usual tricks...
And no jerk may want to learn sign language to talk to her properly... hmm...

Every deaf person that I have ever met has been the kindest, sweetest most caring person with an amazing personality that I know. There is something about them that is unforgettable and I only hope to meet someone like that in the future.  | |

I know it's hard for deaf people to integrate but on top of communication problems you also have to deal with self-esteem issues as well. I'm not saying it's right but it is the way it is. | |
