Guessing the disc jockey will give out the beautiful black & white Sideline tee shirts to who travels the farthest? Like last time.
Close to "5,000 singles" have viewed the Bash in Brunswick!

Posted: 12/30/2006 12:47:51 PM | I am so excited about the party tonight. I know that only 86 people have signed up but I have heard from a lot of people who said they were coming. Plus I know that some people have said that they are going to bring friends. I know at least five of my friends are coming tonight.
I expect there to be between 100 and 150 people there tonight. Hopefully more! I know a lot of people will just show up deciding to come at the last minute. Welcome! I have talked to some people who said they don't want to come alone. Well you won't be alone because as soon as you come down the stairs you will be amongst friends who share a common interest. You will be with single people who are looking for friendship, companionship and maybe even love.
So why don't you come out tonight and make some new friends. You will have one as soon as you reach the bottom of the stairs. That is when I will say "Welcome Friend".
I hope to meet you all tonight!

I was there and had a blast. I came by myself, but made friends shortly after being there. The gals from Columbus were so nice and had me sit with them at their table. I met many new people and had a blast. I traveled for about an hour 15 minutes but I think it was well worth the trip. Please have more of these, I will be there!!!! By the way, thank you to you and to everyone that had anything to do with this event. I thought it was great that when I arrived there, someone told me where to go (they pointed me the direction to the parking area), lol. I felt very safe there too. Thanks for making me feel comfortable.

Posted: 12/31/2006 7:08:04 AM | Thanks everyone who attended last night! We had around 90 people show up for the party. Another great success! You are the ones who made it a success. I hope every one had a good time. I know I did. I think the fog affected the attendance. I was hoping for over 100.
I thought the DJ was good. I think it helped get people interacting. It's a shame everyone seems to leave around 11:00 p.m. People really started to dance and have more fun shortly after that.
When would you like to have the next party. I thought we would plan one for around Valentine's day. Please give me your input.

Posted: 12/31/2006 10:37:05 PM | I know that it is a lot of work putting these events on, but if we could have them more often and on a regular basis, I think we could get a good following. I was talking with the gals from Columbus and they said that there are activities going all the time. This is just an idea! I know, I opened my mouth, now do something about it, right? I wish I could, but my work schedule is so crazy, I never know when I can attend, let alone organize something. What do the rest of the POF's think?

Thank you Irishman  I am a newbie and this was my first time out...I drove down from Cleveland and was by myself...Sidelines is a very nice place and I felt safe...met a wanna be fish at the bar (he made the three of us ladies paper rose flowers)...met Jeff (he was sweet and bought me a beer)  ...Met 6ft (still don't believe you are 6ft)... 6ft is a good dancer :dancer: and got stuck dancing with me (what a nice person and alot of fun) ... KABOOM was a blast (ask her about that money in her pockets!) ... she was also my disco dance partner ... Jeff Bridges look alike was the DJ and kept us on the dance floor most of the night...and I cannot find the twirling line dancer's name, but she could spin around while doing the electric slide (told her I'd fall on my caboose if I tried that!) Kaboom (sorry KB, but that was a funny name) was a great sport doing line dances with us. The guy I played pool with was also a good sport, he put up with me...I haven't played pool since I was 3!  Nice meeting you, AJAX (and I really did have a turtle named AJAX), Warrior and Shy Boy, you really should have danced with us...also nice to meet you, redheaded diamond and the girls at her table were also alot of fun and had happy feet on the dance floor thank you for the lap dance (was it Rick? and noooo that were not my pajamas!)...and nice to meet you, Dolphin nurse!.....AND I ONLY had two beers!  I was just a little nervous meeting everyone and possibly a little (LOT) hyper. Music, good people and dancing does that to me!!!!  Thanks Again for a Great Time! What a Riot. Gail.
