Posted: 9/11/2008 7:26:07 PM | Everyone says they want the truth but for many that is not always the case. Often they only want to hear what they like and don't really care for honesty when its not what they want to hear. While everyone can handle "complete blunt honesty" some people don't react well when its presented to them.
I do agree that when someone lies its disrespectful and can lead to more hurt than the truth. I would also add that when we are lied to it insults our intelligence. The person who tells the lie thinks that they are smarter than the other person and/or the other person is just too stupid to find out the truth. No one lies expecting to get caught. Ask Kwame and Chistine if they thought they would get caught. | |

I grew up thinking it was always right no matter what situation. If you ever get to the point to have to tell a lie....question yourself for "your" motive. If you can't handle the truth to the question you are asking...don't ask the question....or what is "your" motive? There is something know as fraud by ommision of fact. While ommision may not be by definition lying it can in fact be dishonest.

Well i cant speak for all women,,,,only myself. Id appreciate a mans honesty. If he p*ssyfoots around the truth, then i may end up hearing only what i want to hear and misconstrue what he's really trying to convey. Not good.
Now of course,,,,he doesnt have to be a pr*ck about it! He can say what he needs to in a tactful way but in a way that im not going to take things 'the wrong way'.

When men even say it how it is, it's usually not enough. I know in the past like if I was asked what I was doing say tonite, and I said oh just going out with the guys. That's what it meant, but a lady would want all the details, like who when what and how......
They just gotta have all that detail.....
But if a woman tells another woman something, they all understand without the details....

It was a perfectly honest statement saying the open truth is often misunderstood from the opposite sex whether men to women or women to men. 
Just saying english itself isn't an exact language and when you add the difference in how women and men think, it's like OMG. Aliens....   | |
