| What's Your Worst Pet Peeve About Winter?
Posted: 12/7/2006 7:52:14 AM | I love the winter, its my favorite season... There is only one thing I dont like... ok well two.... one is the wind mixed with the cold. Its the wind that makes things cold, if there was no wind, it wouldnt be as cold as what it usually is.
Secondly would have to be the slush! I hate slush so much, makes your shoes, and pants and everything wet... The worst, its when you slip and fall in the slush... my god everything is wet then! | |

We get a lot of snow and get it hard in the winter... we can plow through it for a little while with out vehicles but when it gets too nasty the roads get closed fast. The plows around here can't always plow fast enough I guess. | |

Posted: 12/7/2006 9:24:42 AM | my shitbucket of a car....the defogger is no good, the tires need replacing, the heater is either too hot, or too cold, the rust colour is starting to take over...... driving in that car is just no fun, especially in the winter.....
at least the radio works

Who da heck likes shovelling snow???? I bought a condo townhome so I wouldn't HAVE TO shovel lmao. Ohhhhhhhhh countryg I remember living at my folks and everytime, without fail, we would finish cleaning the driveway, along came Mr. Plow. Sometimes it got to the point where I would almost literally cry in frustration!!!! | |

Other then that I love winter .... I love skiing and snowboarding so I get really excited as I watch snow reports for Barrie and Collingwood!!

-icy roads
-snow covered roads
-black ice
-people who don't know how to drive in winter,yet refuse to take a bus or cab!!!!
-watching the dog have to put her face in the snow to get her dog treats(not my dog or she'd be inside with me where it's warm)
-when the windows condense or frost up when I cook and I can't see out
-trying to get out of ths @@%#** long gravel driveway and sometimes ending up in the field
-getting stuck trying to get in the @@%#** long gravel driveway when the landlord's son hasn't plowed it and having to set off my car alarm until he notices I'm stuck and has to come with the tractor to get me out
-having to bundle up so much that you look like the Michelin Man and can't move your body at all
-stores that don't keep their entrance way free of snow and then you almost slip either on the snow or the puddles people leave behind upon entering
I could go on forever!I should move somewhere where it's warm all year.But I do love the first snowfall.And love the new emoticons.Anyone else ever played cyber snowball fights with their POF buddies?It's hilarious.

- London is a conservative city, but it is also a University city.... so, you get a lot of students playing zippity-doo-dah on the roads... or you get the seniors just toodling along, half asleep at the wheel...... the drivers who don't have a clue how to drive once the snow flies.
- People who steal snow shovels..... my garage door ices shut often, because of the way the wind hits it... so I put the snow shovel outside for storage..... in 4 yrs. of living here, I have gone thru 3 snow shovels..... just bought the third one today.....  | |

a) getting up while it's still dark
b)having to get up that much earlier to dig my way to my car and clear it off.
c)shovelling snow in general
d)people that don't know how to drive in the snow
e)people who steal snow shovels...I had to replace two...now I keep it in my house to dig my way out.
f)people who don't shovel their sidewalks...I'm usually one of the first out there to get it done.
g)shovelling out my driveway only to have the plows go by and pack all the snow at the end of it...grrrr.... | |

Posted: 12/7/2006 1:16:17 PM | Leaving for work so early, usually before the plows or just after they plow the main hwy., exit ramp plowed in, try getting around some people who can't drive,as they tend to get stuck in the snow drift at my exit ramp, get around them, and hope that nobodies stuck at the bottom of the ramp which you know will be plowed in.
I have a 4x4, drive according to the road conditions and take my time in bad weather, please no smart comments from the peanut gallery, I know what some of you are thinking!
Seeing other 4x4 drivers thinking they are impervious to the conditions of the road, see ya in the ditch, I'll wave as I drive by is what I'm usually thinking!
Other than that I just dress for the weather. | |

Posted: 12/7/2006 2:48:57 PM | Watching some tool, who doesn't seem to realize that snow makes the road slick, hits their breaks, and know without a doubt that here goes the jerk is going to hit me....Think there should winter driving courses that people have to do every 2 years or something or send them on up to Northern Ontario for a couple of weeks so they know how to drive in it | |
