Wonderful posts.........

One year a long time ago I sent a check to Jimmy Swaggert when I thought it was going to help the poor..........well you know the rest. I was angry.

I have sent money to homeless shelters in the large city in which I live. I feel good about that since the money is used for shelter needs. ( have requested copy of their finances) I believe we need to take care of our own before looking world wide.........

How about a gift of time for a shut in or at the local nursing home. What a gift of joy it is for the sick and elderly!

I have spent many winters camping on the beaches of Padre Island, Texas and was appalled at the dozens of cardboard boxes behind the HEB and Wal-Mart being used for housing for the homeless in Corpus Christi. A food or money donation to the church providing basic needs to them is so gratefully accepted.

Merry Christmas and blessings to all, Andrea
