Posted: 4/12/2008 2:06:13 PM | | I don't know if this counts, but I lived with a woman for 4 years who made alot more money than I did. Her lifestyle was way more extravagant than mine and I repeatedly voiced my discomfort with that. I basically gave her my the bulk of my paychecks to pay for a more than proportionate part of the bills. She told me that I should get used to it and that I deserved to live that kind of life. That was until her business started to suffer and I was told that I wasn't carrying my weight. This absolutely destroyed our relationship and I was devastated and broken hearted. I was forced to move out, and because of our lifestyle had little to no savings because I felt I needed to pay my way as much as I possibly could. I am, I believe, a very evolved person and have no real issues with being the breadwinner or not, but I have ended a couple relationships because of the money thing. I would like to not be so gunshy in this world of "career women" but it has killed any chance of romance with a powerful woman. Should I be looking for a woman who, specifically earns less money than I? | |

Posted: 4/24/2008 10:21:32 AM | Angelic Blonde, my city is full of women just like you describe....some of them are younger women, but every now and then you find older women, who can barely care for themselves, being "sugar mommies" to much younger men....generally guys who have just gotten out of prison, and claim to be "reformed." And as you said, the men take what they can get and move on to the next victim!
I've never been a "sugar mommy", and will never be a sugar mommy! There are too many things I want to do for ME, ME, ME, ME, AND ONLY ME!!!!! | |

Once had a mate that was treated very very kindly by a rich older lady, but from what he said it was more trouble than it was worth..

Posted: 5/19/2008 4:41:01 PM | I LIKE the concept of "Sugar Mommies", if not the actual application. For me, being in the media comes with certain perceptions and those have proven to be problematic at times. There are times when I would love not being the focal point of attention, especially when I'm out with someone.
I would love to have an older, really beautiful, really financially secure woman in my life, not for the material gain though. Women who exude power are extremely confident and confidence is sexy as hell !!! I've never been accused of being someone's "arm candy", but it might be funb for a while. LOL. The point that she makes more than I do is of no consequence because my masculinity isn't predicated on dollar signs. I'd still do the things for her that I'd do for any other woman. It would just be nice to have finances as a back burner issue.
If there were certain things she required of me and they didn't go against my principles, I'd be fine with it. Admitedly, my ego wouldn't allow me to be controlled in any sort of relationship, so the balance of power would be equal.
Oh and if any potentiial "SM's" are reading this, I clean up really well !! LOL (wink) | |

Posted: 8/6/2009 12:38:06 PM | Hello I'm a 33yr old single father of 3 i'm trying to do my best of raising them with no help from anyone. their mother passed away four yrs ago do to cancer and it's been hard. I'm not looking for a hand out just some help. A friend gave me this site to try and I'm hoping for whatever I can. Thank You for your time . James
