| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 9/28/2008 6:29:22 AM | Personally, I like Harleys. My pop has two of them. And most of my parents' friends ride also. My pop has told me it is a great stress reliever for him when he rides. I've seen him get all geared up and ride off when he's had a bad day, when he comes back he's all relaxed and feels much better.
It all depends on the woman if she wants to be around a guy who rides or not. Sometimes they are scared of ever being on one. I've personally never been on a Harley, however, I have been on a motorcycle, and at first I was scared, but once you get used to it your fine.

I love my harley and its a great stress reliever
I heard that. I have a Vulcan 1600. Ride it to work and back every day. Some days its the only thing that keeps me from banging my head against a wall!

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 10/17/2008 3:02:18 PM | I am not into motorcycles at all. I have lost 3 friends to motorcycle accidents and 2 friends who were seriously injured. My dad use to race motorcycles in the 40's . He raced on Daytona Beach, back in the day! He did give it up for the family because we needed him alive. I understand that a lot of people LOVE their Harley's. I think that is great, it is just not for me. The other things is that a lot of bikers are kinda gross and they do not always smell very good, We go to biker bars every now and then to hear one of our favorite bands, Brave Men and this has been our experience. | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 10/18/2008 4:11:32 PM | Reelcrazy: I think most women like the "bad boy" thing about Harleys. Not that men who drive them are bad boys. Its a sense of adventure. Plus its a very free spirited kind of thing. | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 10/21/2008 7:17:57 PM | | Yhe women that are scared off are the ones who don't take risks and give some one a chance to show them that it is a blast to ride and even better to have your arms wrapped around that man! | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 10/25/2008 10:56:35 PM | | Some gals are just plain scared of ridin on the back, they have no control. I know a few with there own bikes. I had a Yamaha 650 custom Special years ago, my ex was scared to death. I sold it, traffic is nuts anyway no matter where u live. A friend of mine lost his fiancee on one, got hit by a car one evening. Guy ran a red light, clipped the back. She died instantly he was in a coma for 9 weeks, both had helmets on. One week before the wedding, just an awful day | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 10/30/2008 11:52:42 AM | Rallies and travelling...Sounds like a great lifestyle to me. Plus the guy cares too much about his bike to be a maniac on the road! Did a fantastic green route tour of France on the back of a bike when I was younger. My first love was keen on bikes but also had a car, so if you want to be girlie you can be. Spiders and snakes, no. Or July bugs. Expensive bikes, mature owners, a definite yes! | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 11/3/2008 12:06:02 PM | since so many guys seem to get off on having no mufflers, or 'cherry bomb' types, drilling out exhaust pipes, or whatever, and making as much noise as possible..
"look at me!! I can make noise, daddy..mommy!"
"oooh, what fun it is to boom around the neighborhood at 3 a.m. and wake everyone up !!.."
..they might turn off women who want to preserve their hearing ability.
also many (not all, I know) people who ride harleys are guys who failed to grow up, IMO..
like, 55-year old fat guys who are accountants/dentists or whatever, but feel that riding a harley makes them an 'instant bad-azz'..
"be afraid of me , don't I look like a Hells Angel?"
many women are probably put off by immature fat old guys having a 2nd childhood?

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 11/3/2008 5:33:15 PM | | For some of us its about gettn together . Enjoying the company of good people. We dedicate at least 3 days a month to raise money for familys or someone who needs help and cant get that help. Nothing better than helping kids who have no christmas and watching them open gifts with tears in thier eyes. Just knowing you had a hand in making someones life just a touch easier is the best feeling. So its very affending to me for someone who has no clue to down something they know nothing about. RB | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 11/4/2008 5:45:47 AM | | I'm not scared off by a guy with a Harley, I just have no desire to ride on a motorcycle of any kind. Its far too dangerous in this area to be riding on a bike. Most accidents are not the biker's fault, its the dumb asses that don't see them. I've known a few people who were killed riding their bikes. I don't know if I'd date a guy who had a bike. I can see me being worried all the time about him getting killed while riding it. | |

| Are women scared off by harleys Posted: 11/5/2008 8:50:32 AM | some women might have had experience with guys who replace 'being a real man' with owning the loudest/biggest 'toys'..
could be cars, boats, motorcycles, etc.., etc.
