IM NOT A BIKER BUT I HAVE RODE SENCE THE 60'S
MOST ARE NOT IN TO CLUBS , COLORS , PATCHES AND SO FORTH
I RIDE FOR THE PLEASURE THAT I GET FORM BEING FREE AND ENJOYS HOW AWESOME IT TRUELY IS IN THE WIND
MOST THAT WONT RIDE HAVE HAD BAD THINGS HAPPEN ONCE IN THERE LIFE WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG | |

Posted: 12/13/2006 5:20:01 AM | I've met alot of great people on Harleys....& a small percentage of boneheads, too. I owned one for a while but it didn't do the things I like riding for very well....
What many people & even the vast majority of H-D enthusiasts don't know is that the attitude that all else is crap is a hold over from the 40-50's when Indian was the absolute cream of the crop in American motorcycling. You would get razzed mercilessly for riding an H-D back then......& a few years after the time when Indian stopped making bikes all the 'Jap' & Brit bikes started showing up that went faster, handled better, stopped quicker, didn't leak puddles of oil @ every stop & were VASTLY more reliable.
It's not a big mystery why old school H-D riders carry a big chip on their shoulder. They had the same charge of 'everything else sucks' leveled @ them for decades. | |

Posted: 12/15/2006 12:33:37 AM | | all right let me put my 2 cents in here, Its all about the girl and what she likes, Ive been on the MX track and seen more girls checking out the riders than the guys, And the woman that says there not into a guy that rides a bike are called "MARRIED" How many guys out here have been sitting at a red light, and theres a couple next to you, you rev just enough and shes checkin you out, I have actually heard the guy say "what are you lookin at" But all in all it goes both ways, I rather see a girl drivin a full size pickup 4+4 than a sports car I think the truck is just dam sexy, but thats just me anybody agree??? | |

A lot of women I know either love to ride or are dying for a chance to ride...and none of these woemn fall into the "biker babe" category. Keep looking, you'll find someone who will love sharing your passion for riding. | |

Todays bikers are respectable hard working individuals not the icon pop culture has created. I do not think that woman are scared off by Harleys at all, but quite the contrary. I am to chicken to ride , but respect those who do. I think bikes are a work of Art gotta love all that shiny Chrome. Bikers are A-ok in my book. vrooom | |

It's a choice. I'm scared to ride a rollercoaster! But, I'll ride a Harley mach9 with my hair on fire.
So, REELCRAZY, if you love to ride and you are looking to meet someone to share your world, then you need to focus on the ones who are willing to share the things you love, bike & all.

She stays close, arms wrapped around me, I reach around and pat her on the leg, and all's well with the world. There is absolutely nothing like cruising the twisty back roads together, leaning into the curves, riding the wind.
And what's with all this Harley stuff? It's about the ride, not the brand name. | |

Nowadays.. going to McDonalds can cost you your life is someone happens to wake up on the wrong side of the bed.. or they are pissed because they got fired... Yes riding a bike can be dangerous.. but this is coming from a person who's brother has been in nursing homes for over 20 years due to a motorcycle accident!! I still ride when given the chance. Was it his fault.. NO... it was the other drivers fault. You can die in a car.. on a horse (me).. at the grocery store... at work... if it is your time to go then guess what... G O N E!!!
As far as the RIDE goes... you are correct, it doesn't matter if you are on a Honda, Yamaha or Harley... the wind is there for you to enjoy. | |

Its all about the ride, the throttle, the wind and occaisionally wrenching a few ticks. Its not about being a lawyer or doctor, thats what you do, not who you are. If you can afford a nice ride, Yippee! If you cant, as long as you get in the wind your soul will be satisfied.
If a lady doesnt like bikes and you do, then its just like anything else people have in common. The old biker days may have come and gone with the wind, but its still in our hearts.
Personnally, I could not date a man that doesnt understand my love for music or bikes. It is my lifestyle and I welcome all other people like me in it. Bikers and Guitar players.....yum. | |

I think it is very amusing to see these guys on those things all decked out and they look...well........sexy and then when they get off and take off the helmet..............They look like hell!! The bike looks good and so do they usually, UNTIL they take off that helmet with the face guard and you see an old man trying to act 20... :: | |
