Hey, only 4 months til Christmas!
Not in my house!
Anyhow, I was trying to find this song last year from a segment on the Grouch Club.
12 Days of Christmas, with sarcastic blurbs throughout by Paul Lynde?
I don't think Paul Lynde was the author, but anyone know of this one?

| Your Favorite Christmas Song Posted: 11/4/2007 2:20:01 AM | Paul Lynde, I googled this one.... so I wasn't imagining it...
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: drunk version of 12 Days Of Christmas Date: 26 Nov 05 - 11:19 AM Does anyone know if Paul Lynde (Uncle Arthur on Bewitched) did a drunk version of the 12 days of christmas? When I was coming home from college sometime between 1988 and 1991 I heard the funniest version of the twelve days of christmas. I recall that the guy sounded like Paul Lynde. It may have been a sound a like. He sang the song in English without any English or Scottish accent but continued to get more and more drunk. It seemed to me the first day of christmas was a Martini. Not sure.
& it was a Scream!!
Perhaps I was living out west when I heard this one, wasn't Paul Lynde from Ohio?

| Your Favorite Christmas Song Posted: 11/26/2007 8:01:40 PM | | My favorite Christmas song is "White Christmas". When I was in the Marines stationed in Okinawa Japan I was invited to a singing contest on their national television. Way before American Idol. I sanged modern "top 40" Japanese song in Japanese. After my song and during my interview [by the way this was being filmed in early December and to be aired on Christmas Day.] The interviewer asked me if I would sing "White Christmas" for them. I did and ever since has been my favorite. | |
