Ive always preferred the really short and I still have no idea how I got this turn on. But ive never let that preference limit me regarding heights. More important things to use to filter someone out. Like... oh lets say, belly button lint! Ew! :p | |

I would be very alarmed to meet a woman taller than me. Nice young lady from here I am seeing is 6'2" and I am comfortably taller than her. Would I date someone taller? I think it would more be a case of first of all finding such a person and then a case of would they date me. I see both as unlikely. | |

Posted: 5/22/2008 6:00:06 AM | I have always found tall women very attractive, but have been frustrated that tall women want guys so much taller than them. I'm an honest 6', and I've found that women taller than 5'9" have a clear preference for men taller than me.
I always find it strange when a woman says that a guy has to be 5" taller than her because she likes to wear heels. To me that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If I dated a woman who was 6' and she wore heels when we were out, I'd have the biggest smile on my face that you could imagine. | |

I have dated men from 5'7" to 6'8" and I never worried how it would "look" if I wore heels. I did however, have a couple of dates who asked me not to wear heels.... I complied, but we didn't date much after that since there were obvious confidence issues with those men.
Like I've stated in other posts..... it's all about confidence..... it saddens me when I see a tall woman with a shorter man and she does not stand tall. It's like she's trying to shrink herself down and in the end, it makes her look taller and unattractive due to her posture.
No matter what your height, a head held high, shoulders back and a smile on your face is so important....... that is what attracts me the most.  | |

Height is a very poor indicator, in fact it might be the most illogical one, of future compatibility with a mate. Yet is appears to be brutally applied. Then again most men won't date or marry a woman he doesn't find physically attractive and one could argue that's also a very poor indicator of future relationship success (and they'd probably be right) .
My viewpoint is this. If I could have had a really great and fulfilling life to share with someone and the reason I didn't was a couple of inches, then I'm an idiot. I'm not saying everyone's mate for life is definitely shorter, I'm just saying the chances to find someone great for a lifetime is so small, the margin for error so slim, why would you drastically take such brutal odds and make them worse? | |

Seriously though, I've had 2 girlfriends taller than I-- one 5'11" and another 5'10".
