| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 1:16:50 AM | | Someone pick....dont care....i WILL be there as i work 9-5 this week.... | |
|
| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 1:26:10 AM | | my random vote is for the Foggy Dew in the sw (even though most of our events are in the south already I am willing to try this)...I like the name and looks like its close to chinook mall...anyone been there? Is thier decent parking for us all to fit into? | |
|
| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 1:30:55 AM | Mehh dont care about where in the city and i like the name too!
Anyway....for the folks who **** things are always in the south....what the heck is in the south beside ranchmen and King's head?
Anyhow, that place is near the C-train so folks have other options beside driving there. Me...i am driving heck anything for driving my baby!
So yeah being close to c-train and other major arteries make it easy access. So yeah...that get my vote too Lori.

| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 1:42:59 AM | wooohooo...lets see if we can get others on board...i do like bootleggers just thought trying new places would be great for '07
sen...limericks, ranchmans, kings head, every fire pit party, brunch (other location we tried)tom's house, Kabana's was south (se), woody's was, trappers, just to name a few...karaoke is the only thing we had in the north to my knowledge...oh wait...2x we had hockey games up in the north...as well as in the south on the same night...no one was complaining just some people in the north are always doing the long drive down deerfoot...that amounts to alot of gas and time. The link also had LOTS of north locations(13) compared to the south (7) but I have heard grumbling that the south needs to be given more of a chance....and that was by people who dont even go to karaoke lol...so i am just trying to do that. Just my 2 cents.

| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 9:34:58 AM | Cool - near the C-train for us non-drivers. Foggy Dew sounds good to me. I'll be there if I am over the flu I brought home from Kamloops. Yuck!
Yippee - first event of 2007 for me!!

|
| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 12:54:19 PM | I think, unless some folks are vocals about it that this week should be at Foggy Dew and the next week maybe try that place?
I think i've seen you at Karaoke once, if it was in the north would you come more often? Also if it is a matter or transport maybe just post if you need a ride. I am sure something could be arranged.
I guess this goes for everyone really.

|
| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 1:15:46 PM | I've also heard of the Lion in temple, a friend goes there. There's also the ne Pig N Whistle on wednesdays another friend said it's pretty fun, as well as Woddy's Tap House in the ne as well - they're right on the border of the nw on the west side of deerfoot. Bootleggers is fun also. Just post when and where and maybe we can work out a schedule or rotate on a 3 month etc...just an idea...give each quadrant an even chance at it and give ppl time to get to know others...? or is there any little place on 7th along the LRT station that anyone knows of? Also, just wondering is Juliets on 16 the one right across from SAIT ? Used to go there almost 2 decades ago when I was in school....many moons ago...lmao! Did a toga party there , vaguely remember it. As for going somewhere - its usually the ppl/friends/service/prices that make the most difference! Personally, I've enjoyed all the venues b/c of the ppls that come out to have fun! Have a great time in 2007!
Cheers & Ciao for now....

Although the address is there, still cannot visualize it...Wondering is that one the east side of macleod off of 58th?

| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 5:05:34 PM | Um, I just bumped over mus1cman's profile, and apparently, Thursdays he is here:
- at karaoke at Wolfman's Pub in Marda Loop if it's 9:30 pm on a Thursday night...
Anybody else been there - as I recall, it's not that large - but…

|
| new venue for karaoke Posted: 1/2/2007 6:04:52 PM | Woolfman's is great but it's quite small. It's not good for a large group like ours, because we'd literally take up the entire side thst has the Karaoke. But it still might be fun since it's close to my area!!!
Cheers!! | |
