| Has anyone had any luck on this site?

The way you introduce yourself.
The way you conduct yourself.
The general idea that you give about yourself through your typing ability, and so on.
So far, I've received a few notes from some nice young ladies, but normally it's for simple chattery. :) Your mileage may vary.

Posted: 2/12/2007 5:33:52 AM | | Yeah, I've met quiet a few...but my situation is different in that I travel from city to city so the 'pool' is larger. But there is definitely a 'numbers game' element to this. I have never suggested a 'date' but only a brief meeting for 15 to 20 minutes, in a public place of their choosing. This gives them an increased comfort zone, they can bring a friend....whatever....no pressure or no hurry to meet. Unless I am only there for a certain day or couple of days....then they have to accomodate my schedule. Keep making the effort, there are some wonderful women out there! | |

suppossed to happen and not before! There is nothing you can do
to change that..just try to enjoy life anyway...preaching to the
choir here..but i have learned that you can not be happy with
someone else until you are truly happy with yourself. I like to
look at it like this. There are pros and cons to being married/single.
Take the cons of marriage ie:never any time to yourself,pure freedom, dancing naked in your living room...lol..whatever bothers
you when you are in a relationship turn it around and take advantage of those things while you are single...does that make sense??

Sure there are normal people who just find it hard to meet someone special in the real world either because they're really busy or just really shy. But unfortunately, there are also the perverts, the weirdos, and the attention hogs. You have so many people who are on dating sites just to get laid or fulfill some other sexual fetish that it kind of puts people off from being social on them. Then so many of the women on them act stuck up because they're at least moderately attractive and feel that they can have their pick of any man on here. Then you have the fuglies. The fat and ugly. I'm sorry if I sound crude with that but it's true. Except for chatrooms the fat and/or ugly always migrate to dating sites. Now I'm no Morris Chestnutt, but dang. Some of these folks really need to try to change what they see in the mirror. It may sound shallow but it's true. But I mean the women on here are just as shallow as the men anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue. They're all looking for an online Prince Charming to sweep them off their feet and take them somewhere they can live happily ever after. The fat and ugly women are just looking for the nice guy type who will accept them for them, and the attractive women are looking for Mr. Young Handsome Rich Guy to take them away to Hollywoodland. It's not you bro, it's everyone. You would think that since people are kind of forced to get to know you on here first before making presumptions about you, that all this would be easier than meeting people in the real life. It's not. The same things that we don't like about people in the real world carry right on over to the internet. But hey, don't let me get you down. Good luck. | |

The guys I've 'met' are either hundreds of miles away or, if local, are happy to chat at the site, but when it comes to actually 'meeting', no. I didn't join a site to talk online - I joined to meet people. I'm not looking for a hot shot, just a real down to earth man.

Kyn, I stepped up to the plate in the first inning myself today. Ohhh boyyy, this pitcher is throwing very fast balls. I think he is trying to "knock" me off my feet but I have a very keen eye and I know when to duck and dodge, lol.

I have had the misfortune of meeting some folks that said one thing, yet ended up being so opposite, I nearly left the site. One of my great friends in here talked me out of it. If I get anything out of this site, it is the friendships I have made and will keep for a lifetime.
