Posted: 3/3/2007 2:39:41 PM | Howdy! Well, we're back...but as a couple! Whew, it's been a wild few days...on Thursday we got Dawn moved to Milledgeville, found a place in the country on two acres (with 35 acres butting up against it that's also ours to use), got the electricity turned on, the water turned on...furniture GIVEN TO US, and a new job for me so I don't have to spend so much time (and money) on the road making a living.
Dawn's been busy cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning...did I mention she likes to clean? The place is in the country (I'm getting used to it slowly, I'm NOT a country boy)...but it's only ten minutes from town and about 20 minutes from where I'm working...so all in all, it's a good fit.
I'll cut this short for now...just wanted to let our friends know that we got a profile now and let you know we're getting along...and we both owe it all to PLENTY OF FISH!

I for one, can tell you the women ARE looking! I met three women from here on POF in person before I met Dawn. All three ladies were super people, but we just didn't have the mysterious "chemistry" to connect us. I kept looking and remained positive...I know it sounds cliche, but if it (POF) worked for me, it'll work for anyone!

oh yeah, I have met a lot of wonderful people on POF! and dated a few, but like Jerry said, no click for the mysterious Chemistry, however I have a made some wonderful friends because I took a chance!

Hmmmm......that depends on if "luck" means finding THE ONE....in that case, NO, I haven't. But, if "luck" means meeting several nice men and having a few nice dates (sometimes multiple dates).....or if it means attending a couple of POF functions and making some new friends......or if it means meeting some really nice and caring friends in the forums, then YES I've had great luck!!
Depends on what you're looking for and whether you're willing to let yourself enjoy the ride while you're looking for it. I still hope to find HIM. Will it be on POF? Will it be near or far, sooner or later? Will it EVER happen? Those are the things that I don't know (POF is merely ONE of the tools I use)......but I promise myself to keep my eyes and ears open, continue my search, and take some chances.....and most of all enjoy the ride!!

When God wants you to be with the one he intends for you, He will send him/her. You won't have to look at all. Maybe it'll start with an innocent email recognizing something that was said in the forums, maybe it will come from a POF match that you happen to "check out." I consider myself blessed right now to have a wonderful man with which to spend my time. Whether he is the one with whom God intends for me to spend the rest of my life remains to be determined through prayer and time.

You know, I've done a BUNCH of date sites and I've dumped them all but 2 - this one and one other that's a freebe also. I've met the BEST friends that I wouldn't trade for anyone or anything. I think as we get older, we learn to cherish our friends and realize that they are as special, if not MORE special than the one we think we're looking for.
When I meet the man of my dreams, he better understand that I have Tegus, Burke, Jack, and a few others in my corner and he just better not get jealous.
And that's the facts, Jack!
