| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 4/11/2007 8:13:41 PM | | My fishie is from Macon, and feels I am every bit worth the drive down to see me! Not sure about the thing in May yet; I'll have to check with my son. Email me with the dates, if you don't mind. If they're during my son's senior trip with the church, maybe my fishie and I can drive up. What about you? | |

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 12/19/2007 10:06:49 AM | I get a fair amount of emails, and I always write back, even if it's a thanks but no thanks. And I always wish them well, if we don't seem to be a match.
I think it's like anything else, it's what you make of it. If you expect too much you'll be disappointed.
I don't write many people personally. I've found it's usually best if they take the first step, but the question I have is "why don't people write back?"
It only takes a sec to send a polite no thanks! If you don't get a reply, you don't know if they're: dead don't speak english don't think you're worth the courtesy busy thinking about how to reply shy snobs or don't really realize how it looks when you don't reply in any way.

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 12/19/2007 3:39:57 PM | I often take the first step, mostly because I run across a profile with a funny/positive message and I feel the need to say "Thanks for putting that out there" I usually end up with a friendly correspondence and/or a date.
Treat this dating website like you'd treat anything else.
Happy Fishing!

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 12/30/2007 4:27:19 PM | I've also wondered this same question for a while...until now. After a few, well, many, emails, several phone conversations including a 3 hour one, I met a special fish last night. He is everything I expected him to be and more. Guess we'll leave it up to the powers that be where it goes from here | |

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 12/31/2007 9:31:32 AM | YES YES YES AND NEED I SAY YES.
Met first at the numbero uno party in Metter - just talked - at the time I was seeing someone - then again at Albany party Tammie's -- never of us was seeing anyone- started talking over the phone while he was in California on business . Talked for atleast 4-6 weeks for the first date - got to know each other. First Date was Albany party - Peggy and Judy Birthday . Have been together since . Getting better each and every day. March of 2008 - I will be moving to the Boro - to be with him even more . I beleive the trick to luck on this or any site is to represent yourself truthfully and don't make yourself out to be more than you are - it will end up biting you in the BUTT .
He or She is out there - Just keep on looking - Never give up

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 1/2/2008 3:28:44 PM | Yep, more than once. The trick (for me) has been to avoid looking for "the one" and just to have fun meeting people. This has led to some interesting and growth-filled relationship experiences. And, who knows, someday I might like one of them enough to keep them around for good. Stranger things have happened. | |

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 1/2/2008 6:47:26 PM | You mean you don't have the ladies in Arizona beating your door down, Luck? Have they no sense of humor? Your profile is very entertaining. Oh, about the red wine stain on the carpet...still thinking on that one. Anybody else know what he can do to get it out? lol!
Ruthannah, I like your way of seeing things. Maybe that's the attitude I should take!

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 1/11/2008 7:40:28 PM | I've met a lot of friends... and a lot of idiots... on every site I've been on. Right now I'm on this one and one other (both free) and while I've met and dated more men from this site - and am still friends with the majority, my current fishie that seems to have lasted longer and has more potential (and says he's going to hang awhile) I met on another site.
actually, He pinged me when I was in an irksome mood and I brushed him off. He was very persistant and didn't give up, for which I'm grateful. The weirdest thing is he's not the 'type' I typically go for. It's good to keep your options open. You never know what kind of package what you NEED is going to be in!

| Has anyone had any luck on this site? Posted: 9/8/2009 2:04:09 AM | animal, know how you feel, i have sent out a number of requests for people in my local area and even interstate from me and had knock backs... Im starting to look at other options like a dating service or a trip overseas....lol This isint the only site i have tried over the last 12 months. Hell im not a bad looking guy, and i know how a wmen should be treated, i have read men are from Mars, maybe i should be less of a nice guy and more of a bad one!! lol The funny thing about this whole situation is that women out number men 3:1 and yet we have trouble, go figure.... maybe they are looking for someone way beyond their means? (we all can't be Brad Pitt or George Cluney) who knows?
signed know how you feel
