I know alot fo men don't bother with women who just have glamour shots of themselves just because it's not the "real" them. If you think they are just too intimidated to email you then why don't you try emailing them first?
And just because and older man is emailing your 20 year old daughter it doesn't mean that they can't handle a real woman. Maybe she's attractive and they like her. I have guys as young as 18 emailing me (on and off this site) and men as old as in their mid to late 50's. There are so many different reasons I can come up with as to why I get such an odd age range but one of them is not because they can't find real women their own age......oh and for the record just because I'm younger doesn't make me any less then a woman. Trust me...I'm a real woman and all woman. ;) | |

Posted: 12/31/2006 4:41:10 PM | Well, I have been on a few dating sites, and I too receive few responses or emails from any of the woman.
I'll admit it's frustrating, you get on these sites to meet new people and develope relationships. I think for younger woman, new to online dating, usually receive a flock of men of many ages interested in a number of things both good and bad...and I think it turns the experience into a game, and makes it hard to find someone real and interesting. Older woman usually seem to take the experience more serious.
I think you shouls just go with the flow, I know it's stressful, but truth is you shouldn't waste you time on people that are not interested in your friendship. they are not the only skittle in the bag. Get on a few sites, have a good profile that is informative, take pictures that show more than one side of your personality, don't come on too strong in your profile or in emails. I think woman like polite compliments and if they like you(your profile) they will respond
I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I've gone through the ups and downs. I personally feel like I am an attractive person and great personality and I will always feel that way. So you should too and be patient and live your life.

I say you change it back to your other pic. If you feel more comfortable with it that way. You can always have the pic with the granddaughter up, just state in your profile who she is. If you change your pics to "sexy" ones and you think you look like you are just looking for sex then change them. Because those are the men who will find you. for the most part.
But I can't say much...I have pics that you can tell I'm topless (NO they aren't showing anything) and I complain when a guy asks me where the other half is to the pic. lol I just thought the pics looked nice and it was a good day that day I took pics :-p lo | |
