| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/3/2007 11:15:18 AM | It IS different, and I couldn't go with a guy that did. Sorry, but whoever said its no diff than women..ummm...same as makeup. Something women do to accentuate their looks, but I just don't dig it with guys.
If you're going grey, just let it go. Its sexy on a man.

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/4/2007 3:07:50 AM | | It's your hair do with it as you please. At thirty-five mine is almost completely white. But that's the way the good lord made me. And I'm good with that. | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/4/2007 9:02:13 AM | If that is what makes them feel good, then why not?
My hair is dark mouse brown, with a few greys here and there. I put a lighter brown on, to give it some kick, then have a few blonde highlights added. Gives it a little sass and suits my personality better than the blah mouse brown I was born with.
So why would I be critical of a man who does it? I say find what works and do it!

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/5/2007 10:56:17 AM | Few years ago, I had mine dyed in black, by suggestion of my hair dresser. It didn't look good to me. All the Asian women in the beauty place liked it. ROFL.
I have lots of hair, but if I was losing it I would do the Kevin Costner thing.
When I was a teen and in college, I did the lemon bleaching during the summer.

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/5/2007 2:59:37 PM | but quadmom don't you think that we guys may feel the same as far as it working on our looks. not all of us like the gray look. I for one have never liked the grey in my beard. bad part is I have had the S**t since i was sixteen years of age. I have had more comments on my looks since i shaved my head and grew the gotee and put color to it. like you said its your opinion but not all guys care for the grey look. an example is my brother loves his grey showing in his hair or he did until a doctor at the ER asked him if he was my father. now my brother is 2 years younger than I. my mother was like yourself she loved the grey look and tried so hard for me to dye my hair gray to match my beard which was a joke to me since it made me feel old as hell when i was in my early 20s. well as stated just an opinion and we are all entitled to ours. oh so it is not taken wrong I was not trying to jmp on yours ok or to belittle your comments in anyway. jst wanted you to know we guys do feel the same as to it with us wanting it to help the looks. thing is if the guys keeps it up it can never be known that he does is he doessn't want it known.

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/7/2007 9:42:18 PM | Just had to add to this one....
Well, a famous man and one whom I absolutely adore---Bono, has been dying his hair dark for years---(his natural shade is reddish) (he's beautiful regardless...)
And an older, distinguished instructor of mine had a bit of grey in his hair and I was completely infatuated, then he went and dyed it; he still looked good, but he needn't have dyed it. I think he said something about putting off "old age" but I would've "done" him anyway!

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/8/2007 7:49:23 AM | | personally I like salt and pepper look, but if the guy wants to dye his hair to feel better, it's his business; after all I color mine, does anyone tell me not to do it? | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/9/2007 12:25:28 AM | I dont' see anything wrong with it....actually, tonight my ex told me he was dying his hair...I never did ask him what color..but, I know it was not to cover up any grey hairs--he has none!
I have natural grey hairs and avoid coloring them when I do my hair...but, everyone seems to think I dye them grey on purpose!!

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/11/2007 4:16:57 PM | I don't dye my hair and I have no desire to. Exercising has kept me younger looking than my age anyway. I'd rather dye my hair solid white thirty years from now. I have gotten compliments on my salt & pepper hair from women. | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/11/2007 8:00:20 PM | I know it is an old cliché and could be that it is totally wrong but what happened to men should be men. Be proud of what you are. Self confidence honour loyalty and merit stand for your convictions help the needy defend the weak. I have never heard anything throughout history about men changing their hair colour that makes them better men. I saw this article about cosmetic companies aiming for the 50% of the population they don’t have “men”. If you think you need to change your hair color to attract women then you are dating the wrong women. If you are doing it for self confidence then please see the intro comments. If we are turning into a world that looks are the way to judge somebody then to me it is a bad world to be in. Don’t get me wrong I do take care of my person because I respect myself. At 40 my hair is thinning I cannot run as long as did when I was 20 and I cannot go out as often now but never will I dye my hair because I want to please somebody. I may do it for fun into a color that is not natural “bleu white red” but that would be for fun and it would be on a very temporary basis. Have fun and accept who you are. | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/22/2007 2:24:14 AM | | I am soooo torn. I have grey on the sides, a la that guy from Fantastic 4. EVERYONE dyes their hair so why am i so worried about it? Sometimes I like it, it makes me feel distinguished. But then again why do I need to be distinguished at 36?????? | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/22/2007 10:56:54 AM | | i don't mind guys who dye their hair...of course with the men i tend to be attracted to, this usually means jet black and/or some vibrant unnatural colour. as for guys with a bit of salt n' pepper, it's a kinda distinguished look...with the right styling and fashion, guys in that category can be total hotties ; ) | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/22/2007 3:42:18 PM | i'm 36 and going salt and pepper.... which is no big deal to me. I think a lot of guys who dye there hair look silly personally. I consider it "look at me!" syndrome.
But I dont' think they care about my opinion on the subject so it's all good!

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/25/2007 12:43:31 AM | | If you had coal black hair instead of blonde you would have a different opinion. I envy my blonde friends at least the ones who still have hair. Many of my friends who are blonde are now losing their hair as they age or it is thinning dramatically. I'll take the full coal black and some streaks over that, but I have used Just for men before cause I feel like my Dad when I see gray and that is tragic! | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/25/2007 4:22:51 PM | You remind me of me and my wonderful colors. Ive had all the colors you can think of. Im a natural redhead, but my hair looks orange at the mo. Im gonna dye it burgundy this week. I hate grey hairs fullstop and I love to look good so I dont care what color a guys hair is. Go for it I say. Mind you Im more concerned whats in a fella's heart than what's on his head. Later and keep cool. | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/27/2007 12:43:42 AM | Good God this is something that should be done by a professional if he does do it. I now have grey on the sides and I ain't touching it! I'm a man, a guy, and if I have to dye my hair to get a woman then she needs to check her superficial priorities at the door. To many times I have seen men w/ this jet black Elvis hair going on or there hair doo makes there old skin look even older and pale just to get a woman? Then they have grey beards and moustaches? What a contrast! snap out of it! And what about the men now who use foundation? Whats up w/ that Sh*t.....You women are scary if you go for this crap. | |

That being said I like the salt and peper look better for me . I found women like to run their fingers though it and tease me. I'll take what ever I can get hehe.

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 3/30/2007 9:10:11 AM | There is something special to be said about people who dye their hair! They are trying to cover up more than a couple fading hairs. I find that people who dye their hair, are trying to cover up something a little deeper, like feelings of loosing something, such as their appeal in life, or their strength, or being insecure of who they really are. Don't forget if you are a decent, and fun person the right person will love you know matter the color of your hair. I feel as though, the fading hair of a well groomed man is appealing. Men don't forget that many many women love the looks of a man with fading hairs, that goes for women too! Some of my male friends around my age are looking more and more towards the graying woman!

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 4/8/2007 7:52:51 AM | Its very important for a guy to go to a professional I know this because I am a Hair colorist. I had a client who used permanent hair color and it looked artificial. He was a good looking younger guy with premature grey only 30%. It took him 12 visits for me to fix it. As the bad hair color grew out. I made him as good as knew. You only use temporary color gradually not dark on grey hair so it looks less grey not cover all of the grey. This is so it looks natural. | |

| What Do You Think Of Guys Who Dye Their Hair? Posted: 4/8/2007 3:49:16 PM | Blondie,
So obviously the grecian formula is out. But also just for men brand? Uh oh...I have heard that the store stuff is a heck of a lot more harsh on hair and scalp than professional stuff, but if that is the case, why don't they just sell us the good stuff in the first place?
Yup, I have to dye my hair. Grey and the line of business I'm in? Doesn't work. Already ran into age discrimination applying for jobs and I'm just about to hit 40. I went gray at 23, a big ol splotch, right in the front...not greying at the temples.
I just can't bring myself to believe that most women find it attractive and dying it does make anyone appear younger than they are. Maybe I'll let it grow out and take a picture and get everyone's opinion, pre and post pictures.
Just glad that I still have hair! The one that boggles my mind is exactly what night did I go to bed...wake up the next morning and find hair had decided that the land mass on my scalp had become overcrowded and said hair left for the suburbs (my freakin' ears! ).
Cheers! | |
