I don't mind one bit!!!
I'm more concerned that he's not a psycho stalker weirdo... then what color his hair is. Hell, if he's a good man, loving, respectful, geniune... all that, and has a green mohawk, I still won't care about the hair :)

Posted: 5/9/2007 9:19:42 PM | went back and read a few more postings and just wanted to add something. first I as i said have had grey in my beard since I was in my teens. I had a head full of hair until 1998 just before my mother passed on. she asked me to shave my head to see what I would look like bald. Now I was reluctant to do it but she left it to me to decide and made the comment it will grow back if you don't like it. Didn't shave it to impress anyone or to appear different because of it. at the time my hair was still salt and pepper. I pulled out a photo of myself and my mother taken not long before I shaved it and I looked at the photo and I appeared to be in my seventies. Now since I am 55 at this time and have been told I was not 55 quite a few times by people that didn't know me. I have wondered if I had dyed it my natural color of dark brown if it would have made a difference. Never will I know for I like the shaved look and it is by far more cooler in the summer. I don't dye my beard to impress anyone and I am by far not ashamed of how I look. I do it just because I don't like grey. On some people it is very appealing and I think some ladies with grey is very sexy. Depends on the woman and the way she presents herself. I would rather see a woman with grey hair than to see a woman with jet black hair that does not go with her complexion. Same for a guy if it doesn't go well then by all means don't mess with it.

I've had gray hairs since I was 18. By time I was in upper 20's I was very gray headed.
Now its starting to turn white.
Gray hair means Wisdom according to the good book and White means purity. So I hate to cover it up. It shows something special in me. But I hate looking old.
So I dye my hair from time to time, cover up 'Some' but not all of my grays and whites. Gotta keep my pride as I hide my hair which makes people think I am older than I am.
I find women respond differently to it. Some love it, others think I should leave it be. Kind of confusing at times. These women won't agree on anything. | |

That would be false advertising! Like, I'm going to have brown hair on our first 4 dates, and then turn grey? Too expensive, and she might worry that all the hot sex was responsible for turning me grey! LOL. I wouldn't worry her like that.... And the thinning on top? Well, it kinda sux, but hey, there are plenty of guys with full heads of hair who look like hell next to me, so I'm not gonna complain....... Just roll the dice and go with what ya got...... The RIGHT woman won't care and will love you anyway...... ( At least that's what I keep telling myself! LOL).  | |

Posted: 5/10/2007 5:56:03 AM | I actually love salt and pepper hair on a dark haired man! I think it's sexy. However, if you must dye it make sure it is a color that goes with your skin tone. If you want to dye it grey that's cool too. The main thing is that you feel good about it.
For me the rule of thumb with dying is this, does it LOOK like you dyed it? If it does, you haven't chosen a complimentary color for yourself. Well, unless you are going for flourescent red, aquamarine, ... ;-)

So please guys don't go dying your hair. It usually winds up either looking too black or even orange, especially after the dye wears off. In fact, when I look at guys I knew when I was younger and they now have gray hair I find them soooo much better looking now. | |

I didnt do it so much to boost my self esteem but just simply for "CHANGE" as a matter of fact some of my female friend's say they like my hair the old way but I LIKE IT and that's what count's! | |

However if it looks stupid , like an obvious toupe' then theres a problem. I knew one guy who died his hair and it come out an orangey color. He wouldn't listen to me or other co-workers and look terrible. Actually accoding to the girls at work he looked allot better "with " grey hair . So there you go, I go by the moto if it feels good do it. Although then it's probably illegal , immoral or life - threatening. | |

Lots of guys get their hair highlighted or do different things like that and it looks good. Even if you're a woman and you're just trying to cover the grey, you have to be careful. Grey hair can be very stubborn and doesn't like to take to the coloring. If in doubt, go to a good colorist and let them deal with it!! I say...do what makes you feel good. If YOU feel better dying your hair, then dye it. If you feel better going natural, then go natural. How you feel on the inside will come through. If you're uncomfortable people will see it. So do what makes you feel good. | |

Posted: 5/12/2007 4:46:33 AM | Does the beard count as hair? I have dark brown hair and a graying beard. I have considered dying the beard (but very briefly) and have had women tell me the gray in the beard looks (cliche as it may be) distinguished.
I don't think I'll dye it for the same reason I would never wear a rug if I started to go bald.
I DO put some colored streaks in my hair (musician thing) and have done that for years. 2 very dark blond and one dark dark red. Maybe 1/2 inch wide. As long as the strands don't touch like they did one year and made an orange one.... | |

Usually looks very fake with the do-it-yourself stuff. But I make them look fabulous, of course!  | |

Posted: 5/13/2007 5:34:53 PM | I am holding back on the dying of my hair for as long as possible. I am not comfortable at this stage to do it. I think there is a point where hair gets toooo blotchy looking with grays... and then something should be done.
I am just glad I have a good head of hair. It's like dad always said... "it's in our jeans!"
