Posted: 5/17/2007 2:08:11 PM | never dyed hair, started getting hilights as it was put when 25, head is mostly shaved to no.1 or so, chest hairs seem to be a mix of grey and dark, whilst back hairs mostly dark.
can't see the urge to cover up baldness, mother used to dye her hair until she retired and no longer in the office, so guess it is more a benefit for the women :) | |

Posted: 5/17/2007 3:17:30 PM | I have a friend that dyes his hair dark brown. But when it's hot outside and he takes off his shirt his chest is completely gray. I don't know about his nether region, most likely gray also.
But why not women do it all the time. | |

Women tell me that there is a good gray and a bad gray, and I have the good gray and that it looks good on me. At 45, I still have really good skin and a baby face, and I think the gray offsets that in a good way so I'm not going to change it. Besides, it's more maintenance that I want to deal with and I'm not ashamed of my age anyway. I'm growing my hair out now (think the Keith Urban look) and my stylist wants to color and put highlights in like Keith has, but I'm not going to be someone I'm not so I told her NO. lol. I gots to be me!  | |

Women discovered it long ago.... probably the reason lots of women look years younger while most men over 45 look their age or older. I'm all for dying your hair! | |

As for guys doing it, if its done in a tasteful fashion that looks something close to natural, I have no problem with it at all!! Kudos for putting the effort into your appearance.

I know that many women find "salt 'n pepper" hair attractive.... Sexy even.... However, I've actually begun to take a tweezers and pluck the growing number of greys out of my chest hair....... Geez, as mature as I am I catch myself doing this crap? It's WAY too much work guys.......If we can ignore a little cellulite, they better be able to accept some grey hair! | |

Posted: 1/3/2008 5:09:37 AM | Mmphh, in my twenties I used to dye my hair grey (and you wouldn't believe how hard it was to convince the hairdresser I was serious, all they could come up with was ash blonde as often as not although there are better ways, as I taught them) and the regrowth tended to amuse my girls at the time. If it's well considered and well carried, and you also take pride in your own hair, you're a hypocrite to complain.
