| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 12/27/2006 5:33:39 PM | | I was just down at the coast and had it on Jack the whole time. Here in Kamloops, 98.3 is a pretty good station. When I was working up north we had Sirius, but after time I found it quite repetitive. I found CFOX a little annoying when I left there a year and a half ago. Don't know if it's changed since then. Used to be all I listened to. Still love Larry & Willy. I followed them to Jack. | |

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 12/27/2006 7:10:58 PM | I listen to 96.9 Jack FM if I listen to the radio at all. Rarer still I'll switch it to Classic Rock 101.1 FM, if Jack plays a "oh hell no" song. Sometimes I switch it back if I think the horrid song may have ended but ahh I forget to do that sometimes especially if there's good music on 101.1 | |

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/3/2007 2:40:46 AM | In the car it's: 107.9FM Evolution (those BCIT broadcast students know their stuff!) or AM1600 (Baby got bhangra!)
On the internet it's either: WOXY.com, HTTP://FM4.ORF.AT, or LastFM/Pandora (-but only because LimeWire doesn't really count as radio...)

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/3/2007 11:04:26 AM | as much as I dislike the band, I love the song "the Radio Still Sucks" by the Ataris I dont listen to the radio. If I wanna listen to good music and not be interrupted by commercials, I just turn on my itunes on my comp. I've got it hooked up to my big stereo in my room, and I've uploaded ALL of my CDs to it. I currently have 10,161 songs on my comp. That means I can listen to music for a week without hearing any songs I dont like | |

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/4/2007 7:18:26 AM | If it is a Sirius Satellite Radio, radio station, I pick "Classic Vinyl", the other alternative to that on Sirius Satellite Radio, would be "Classic Rewind".
However, "Classic Vinyl", would be a topnotch choice for me.
Ya can hear most of the golden oldies of "Classic Rock N Roll", and my favorite DJ on "Classic Vinyl" is Carol Miller.
Theres got a lot of good to be said for "Satellite Radio", with both "Sirius Satellite Radio" and "XM Satellite Radio" NOW in Canada.
Oh man, ya got to LOVE IT. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/4/2007 7:44:03 PM | But mostly take my XM Radio everywhere...I love that thing...any tunes any style, anytime and commercial free.
Ahhhh, good idea, Fishfancy, of taking the XM Radio everywhere with ya.
Good old Satellite Radio, ya can't beat it, no DJ's burbling at ya all the time, and commercial free music.
NOW, that is something to sing to, ya got to LOVE IT, especially if ya wanna checkout your kareoke singing skills. lol lol
But seriously, Satellite Radio, gives a good alternative, to music listening, of your local radio Stations, such as CFMI, if ya get tired of listening to BRO Jake, and his testostorone filled EGO, and the morning crew for one.
They were good one time, but, I think that fad has worn off by now.
One Canadian Radio Station, with Canadian Musical Content that is also on Sirius Satellite Radio is, Iceberg Radio.
Thank heaven, they approved both Sirius and XM Satellite Radio in Canada.

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/4/2007 7:51:13 PM | 101.1 with Bro Jake in the morning. I laugh all the way to work.
Sometimes Dean & Hatch, Jack, or my CD's - in the afternoon. Depends on what kind music I want to listen to
|
| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/4/2007 8:30:17 PM | Thank you first lady, for mentioning Dean and Hatch, almost forgot about those two, for the drive at five on CFMI.
Dean and Hatch are sooooooooooooooooooooo cool, yet funny, talk about a couple of commedians.
I also like Bob Cey, when he was on the morning crew for CFMI, and let's not forget about Claudine Grant, when she was working for CFMI.
One thing that I DO miss, about CFMI, is that a few years ago, they used to switched over to the Overnight Show at midnight, which was broadcasted LIVE from TO.
One DJ that I remember, from the Overnight Show was Bob Frost.
However, I think that since Sirius and XM Satellite Radio are now in Canada, that more Canadian Radio Stations should start linking up with these Satellite Radio Companies.
Cuz, Satellite Radio is NOW, the way to go, cuz, ya can take it with you everywhere you go, and ya can get that reception right accross Canada, and the U.S.A. in your vehicle, or in your appartment, or out on the beach, anywhere.
And ya can do it with just ONE, radio receiver, and ONE subscription, by just having the hook up equipment for your vehicle, or for your apartment, or in a form of a boombox.
Satellite Radio is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. mobile, and subscriptions are about 14-15 bucks a month approxamately, after ya get the equipment that ya need.

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/31/2007 2:54:55 PM | The best radion station about for music, undoubtedly, is Zeilsteen radion on the internet. I am not into hip hop or flip flop or rap/crap at all, country just ain't my scene Jeb, cfox is too aggressive for a pacifist like me, and cfmi can be good, usually bad. And the radio personalities! And their sycophant sidekicks make my sick like the flu. It would be extremely refreshing if someone would laugh at something that was funny instead of sounding like, say Brother Jake's paid, I dunno, dipstick.
Do you remember when bands like the Cure, New Order, the Pixies, the Stranglers, etc, could only be heard at Luvafair or UBC's the Pit? And was this music all that strange or weird? No! This was great music that, for whatever reason, didn't fit into the North American radio playlists. Perhaps because it wasn't the predictable stuff that high school kids, who buy the music, listened to? Zeilsteen plays music now that you rarely if ever hear on today's radio. Bands like Kaiser Chiefs (get your tickets for their upcoming show at the Commodore!), Arctic Monkeys, Morningwood, the Sleepy Jackson, Ladytron, the Fray (at least they are now on local radio) abound. Bands that people will hear or read about in ten years and say, "Why wasn't this music playing ten years ago?" And almost as good, they don't have annoying hosts who get in the way of the music. I listen to radio to hear good songs, not to listen to Brother Joke and his Merry Band of Jackasses try to make believe that the unfunny is funny.

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 1/31/2007 6:58:54 PM | Hey ScorpioSweetie...Another fine thread.. the BEAT 94.5 is a good one as is Jack..But it is getting boring ...104.9 the Clear is pretty good too...But my all time fav is 103.5 qmfm,, it ROCKS ...Has the greatest mix of music ..Since I love the mushy and older stuff it's perfect for me.. especially between 9 pm and midnight..101 and the FOX have good rock tunes....Personally i prefer lighter tunes the majority of time Happy listening to e1 Starr | |

| What is your favorite radio station??? Posted: 2/1/2007 6:35:51 AM | Well Scorpiosweetiepie:
I have a selection of a few, Rock 101, is one of them, however, if you were to get into Satellite Radio, then Classic Vinyl on Sirius is another one of my favorites.
From the internet, another one of my favorites is, Iceberg Radio, that is Canadian.
