Posted: 3/1/2007 6:32:19 AM | no laughing...years ago i used to know how to waltz because i was a member of the university ballroom dance club (like 8 years ago!). it was wonderful, i love the slow and steadiness of a waltz, the security and elegance. no set song/music piece but more about that style of music and speed that i love.
i've forgotten it now and i haven't had a dance partner in, well, forever LOL but that's my favourite slow movement style, long sweeping dips and swirls, makes me feel like someone out of a hollywood classic legend movie. the knowledge that my partner won't let me fall, just swirling in the music and the motion together.
that's probably why i love dancing with veils so much now, and it doesn't require a partner LOL | |

| What is your favorite SLOW dance song/music?
Posted: 3/5/2007 10:45:52 AM | I know I am getting older (recent birthday celebration and all), and since I am a grandfather, I do not have one particular song. Also, like I said to a friend last week, I am not much of a dancer, but I like to move around a dance floor to the right tempo.
As a result, there are lots of wonderful songs, but some of the best songs of romance came from the early to mid fifties by the platters.
Also, Sachmo and Wonderful World comes to mind when I am with someone special. | |

When I first started this thread, I never expected close to 150 replies and over 3,000 POF members viewing this.
Needless to say, my collection of sexy, slow dances is unbelievable. I had to buy a bigger hard drive to handle them all.
