My favourite slow songs are "Stairway to Heaven", "Lady in Red", and "I'm Gonna Love You Forever". Also, Keith Urban has had at least one song out in recent years that makes my heart pound with longing for that one man to dance with me. I'm sorry, I seem to be having a "brain fart", but know that this is one song that makes me want to stop everything and dance with my special man.   | |

I was 13, attending my very first evening school dance. I stood along the gymnasium wall all night looking at all the girls. I swear, that night the hormones of puberty kicked into high gear. It took all night but I finally asked a girl for my very first slow dance. For the life of me, I can't recall her name, but I remember her pretty face vividly. I had already put my jacket on for the walk home and said to myself... "now or never" It was the last song of the night
"Stairway to Heaven"
I swear, every dance after that, it was always the last song..
I remember thinking, this is the first time I've ever had a girl, who I wasn't related to , put her arms around me... WOW!!
All the way home, I could still smell her perfume on my jacket collar. *sigh* | |
