Anyone off to the 70's weekend at Skegness Butlins this weekend? A few people I know are going there this weekend, they go a few times a year and always have a fab time but they say it's very dear I was invited to go to a hen weekend in a few weeks time but due to other commitments I cant go : (

They're ace! My main profile pic is from one. Best to go in a group, always a laugh & not too costly for 3 nights. Mixture between men & women is pretty much 50/50, and the age-range is quite broad too, I'd gauge the average age is 30 to 40, but plenty of people either side too. And finally, and for me most importantly, when you get 1500/2000 people together all having a drink you'd expect trouble, but I've never seen any. It's not like an average town/city centre weekend night out, it's more of a party atmosphere with probably 60/70% of people in fancy dress (on the Saturday night at least).* So go with an outfit! (*I can only comment on the Disco/70s Minehead weekends, as those are the ones I've attended)

i can't imagine anything worse than an adult butlins weekend ... maybe a teenage butlins weekend being forced to listen dance and rap music but otherwise an entire holiday camp full of middle aged people getting drunk and watching over the hill and has been acts from days gone by is not my idea of a good weekend ...... i did once consider it, when i was a younger man, my friends and i had a plan to go to one of these weekends for the purpose of shagging older women who would basically be drunk and easy, but once we sobered up we decided that it was a bad plan and it was never mentioned again .... not that i have anything against butlins itself .....
