| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/4/2007 9:24:46 PM | | its too bad i could ve QBd behind that colts) offensive line and won | |
|
| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/4/2007 9:29:39 PM | | it came down to who committed the fewest turn-overs, who executed most efficiently and who defended the best............not only did the colts do that but they showed the most determination........they could have crumbled when the Bears scored first but they didn't....unlike the Bears, they showed that they had confidence in themselves and that is what won them the game! | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/4/2007 10:07:59 PM | Grossman should be dragged out of his house in the middle of the night and beaten within an inch of his life then killed with the flame of a bic lighter. That should take awhile. Maybe two lighters are needed. Or everyone in Chicago should get in line and stick him with a two inch sewing needle.Cut ins will be allowed! GGRrrrrr!!!
I hope Walter Payton wasn't watching this from the afterlife!!!

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/4/2007 10:28:53 PM | Jesus H Christ, the Colts and Bears defense musta exchanged bodies over the week. They clearly played the typical Bears mow-em-down hard line.
Fumbles, intercepts and absolutely shit for coverage. Wasn't man on man, wasn't zone - it was clusterfvck-city with Colts receivers being left open over and over.
Quit watching in the 3rd Quarter after that interception.
Yeah, I was screaming *loudly* - fortunately, I didn't put money on the game - I had that feeling when Vegas began loading up on Colts $$ that the news wouldn't be good.
And it wasn't. | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 4:32:45 AM | | You know I really hate Peyton Manning, but I have to give the man his due. He finally won the big game and got the monkey off his back. The Colts played a great game, even though I was rooting for the Bears. Grossman was just Gross and maybe they should have tried Griese as he couldn't have been any worse. This has been the toughest season to call that I can ever remember. Congrats to the Colts and I can hardly wait for the Cowboys next season! | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 5:37:53 AM | I wonder if Favre will consider coming to Chicago!?! he he he
NOT!
Thought you'd get a kick out of that Eman!!
Again, congrats to the Colts and their fans.
Does anyone have any BenGay for our Defensive line? They're gonna need it...
owie
Now it's time to concentrate on the Bud Shootout and NASCAR baby!!!

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 6:07:33 AM | | the folks in in pittsburgh are breathing a sigh of relief. ron rivera was not able to have a second interview for the head coaching position. that defense was the best the nfc had to offer?? | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 7:23:27 AM | Tried to tell people that Chicago's D was overrated.....Bear fans wouldn't listen...they kept crying "look at the stats". Chicago rolled up all those stats against the mediocre NFC. I knew no team that my pathetic 6-10 Dolphins easily stomped in Chicago could win the SB. Granted the Bears were missing a couple starters on D but Indy was missing Brandon Stokely and had to replace Edge. But that Bears D made Addai and Rhodes look like All-Pros.
But most importantly...since about October, some of us(e-man, myself, and others) have been telling you all that Grossman was the weak link. He proved us right...two drive killing snap fumbles(yes he recovered both but they each turned a second and short into third and long)and the two INT's in the fourth were just horrendous jump balls he threw up. If they don't unload him, the Bears will NEVER win a SB as long as he's there.

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 7:58:59 AM | | Well being from Chicago and living in Toronto, I felt all alone in the big city. I lost my voice from the opening kick off. Although the rest of the game gave me a chance to rest it. How dissapointing..... I'm not to upset with the loss, only the way they went about it. Terrible performance from our offense. Congratulations to the Colt's and their fans. Job well done!! | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 9:00:13 AM | | was rooting for the bears, but kudos to manning and the colts, they won the battle of fumbles, interceptions and what not, tho the bears did keep it close for like what 3 quarters, but i think someone forgot to tell them it takes 4 quarters to win a game, always next year for Grossman, Urlacher and Co... and favre will not come to chicago, he will retire as a packer whenever that is officially. | |

Now this is plain bullshit. The Colts defense was not that solid all season, right into the playoffs - their coach openly admitted it was a weakness and said that he would 'fix it' before the Superbowl. Guess he did, and Bears coaches underestimated the Colts ability to effectively read, match and then out think their defense strategy. The Bears offensive line sucked due to injuries well before the big game - that was why Vegas backed the Colts.
It was amusing to see the teams relatively unperturbed by the rain - at times coming down pretty hard. Ref'ing was pretty solid and fair.

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 10:28:11 AM | chicagos D was overrated...plain and simple...good defense, just not as "great" as some bears fans would have you believe, thats all me and cav were saying....
how do you explain almost 200 yards rushing by the colts?....they ran right at them, wasnt even a contest....
as far as rex grossman is concerned...he is what he is....a bad qb....when you bears fan realize this?...the bears won all year DESPITE him...not because of him.....
another point that will piss bears fans off......urlacher isnt even the best linebacker on your team...you better not let briggs get away from you.....that guy is a stud...

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 10:43:31 AM | | So much for the trash talking Bears Fans thinking that their team was going to annihilate Indy. Looks like it came back and it bit you on the ass. It turns out the Bears defense was over rated and that Rex "Sexy Rexy" Grossman was a lame duck QB afterall, especially when he threw 2 int's and one was returned for a TD in tne Colts 29-17 win over the Cubs. Now all the Bears Fans can do what they do best, whining and crying. Congrats to the Colts for Super Bowl XLI Champs and Peyton Manning for Super Bowl MVP. | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 2:59:07 PM | | I will be the first to admit that I am somewhat of novice when it comes to football, but as I watched the game yesterday, something seemed very wrong. It was a shame Benson was injured and I am still trying to figure out what the big deal about Rex Grossman is. It was disappointing for the Bears. Congratulations to the Colts. Plus, I feel really bad for Lovie Smith. How can you not like that guy? | |

| Super Bowl Predictions Posted: 2/5/2007 3:03:08 PM | The Bears had the second weakest schedule in the NFL. The Colts had the sixth toughest. This is based on opponents won loss percentage. Almost the entire AFC had a tougher schedule than the NFC. Toughest NFC schedule- the Lions- probably because they had to play the Bears twice. The Bears got beat by New England and Miami- and the Packers in a meaningless game.
They're a solid team but they need more tools on offense- QB wouldn't hurt. The offense let them down- couldn't stay on the field and eventually the D got worn out. Indy held the ball almost twice as long. They made mistakes but overcame them ( or the Bears didn't capitalise- again weak offense).
Still they keep it interesting until the 4th quarter so I give'm a little credit. Better luck next time!
