This game is a classic match between high powered offense (the Colts) and strong defense (the Bears).. There has NEVER been a winner of the Super Bowl that didn't have a Top 10 scoring defense. The Colts were ranked 23rd.

a) The Colts Defense has come alive in the past few games with the reintroduction of some key play makers who were sidelined due to Injury. With these key guys in the picture combined with the momentum that their defense now has - maybe they could make the top 10, all things considered.
b) The NFC has just sucked the past few years. A lot of the Bears wins were against crappy NFC teams. The AFC has won and won and won. The colts were able to beat the Patriots and thats no mean feat. | |

1. MANNING has a lon history of struggling in high pressure games. In three playoff games this year he has thrown only two touchdowns but a WHOPPING 6 interceptions. There is NO reason to believe he has overcome that tendency... On the other hand, GROSSMAN has done exactly what his team has needed him to do in the playoffs. For the Colts to win this one, MANNING will have to exorcise the demons and strike early in what will be his highest pressure game yet and force the Bears to ask GROSSMAN to do too much..
2. The Colts won against the Patriots due to the Patriots lack of powerful Offense. Indianapolis showed their true defensive colors when they gave up 34 points to the Patriots. | |

And it's not Rex vs. Peyton, it's the ENTIRE TEAM playing...
The Colt's offensive line against the Bear's D doesn't stand a chance!
AND, if there's any inclement weather, and there IS... the passing game will
be silenced.

Im not a sports fan, I do like to watch a good Super Bowl at the end of the season,..and a few games in between.
As far as the game between New England, and the Colts,...I heard so many people saying it was such a GREAT GAME.
Did they watch thew same game as I did ?
It was UGLY.
I saw so many mistakes on both sides that I thought it was a horrable game, not worthy.
My best friend is a New England fan, for many years, and was touting off how New England was gonna clean the Colts clock,...till about a week before the game,..then he called me up and told me that most of the players on New England had the flu,..and not to expect much.
So I didnt.
And he was right,....even the comentators said half of New England was down with the flu,....Id like to see anyone get out there and try to run on all eight cylinders, with the flu.
What I saw, was a bunch of mistakes, over and over again, by both sides,...if you watched the game,...you saw it too.
I know the Colts have a quality team of talented players,....they just dont have the Championship quality it takes to be Super Bowl Champions,...unless the Bears just lay down on the field.
Id love to see the Colts win this Game,...that would prove to them that they really do have what it takes.
But my guess is,...the Colts in the first half by a slim margin, then choke, as they useualy do.
And the Bears get the Ring. | |

Yes, and the bears have a championship qualty team more than the colts because the past 5 or 6 years the bears are always in the hunt for a championship, and rex grossman is just a much better playoff qb than manning.....ARE YOU FOR REAL?......
the colts have beaten the pats the last three times they have played them.....
is it mannings fault that he drives them down the field and vanderjackt misses a field goal last year?
is it mannings fault that e james fumbled twice three years ago in the afc champ game?
is it mannings fault that dallas clark fumbled twice two years ago in the afc champ game?
stop blaming manning, he does everything he can to win and if you want to talk about "battle tested teams"...the colts are have much more playoff experiance than the bears.....
