Posted: 12/29/2008 7:49:17 PM | I've been intimidated by the favorites list too. If someone has 50 or more favorites, I felt my email if sent, would just get lost in the pile. Not something I'm looking for.
What do these favorites do for you anyway. Me adding someone to my favorites list without ever trading an email, is like my son when he was younger. He said he had a girlfriend and his sister spoke up and said, and she doesn't know.
Anyway, it's not like I'd have a list of favorite girlfriends to date. One at a time is plenty to handle. | |

Sort of the "grass is greener" mentality. I think it is part of that whole Myspace thing. I am soooooo popular, check out how many "friends or favorites" I have". Personally I instantly think the woman has relationship issues that I want NOTHING to do with. IF they are truly adding the woman as a favorite, then the woman should view the profile and determine if their is a possible match. Simply keeping the favorite and admiring the escalating number is childish, counter productive, and kind of creapy. | |

Why do men add themselves to your favorites and do not bother to contact you, are they trying to make themselves look good for other women, I take the time to check my messages - if they have not bothered to send a message, then politely they are so removed off any list.
What is going on - can the people who seem to know everything about all the forums and the rules, tell me, what is favorites all about? cos it kinda feels like stalking  | |

Posted: 1/11/2009 12:05:25 PM | People tend to add you to their favorites for various reasons, whether they think you're attractive or your profile was funny, you may share the same friend's, ect., so I see no reason why someone should be punished or bashed for having high numbers of favorites, it's JUST a "list"..not an engagement, promisory ring, marriage or any other commitment of the sort, jeez...lighten up will ya. | |

I am definetly not too busy to be contacted. I don't think you should be intimidated by it . I certainly hope that's not my problem. I sure set home lots of weekends to intimidate anyone. | |

Posted: 1/19/2009 6:51:57 PM | I think some use the favorites to keep track of who they looked at. If you see a profile you like I'm guessing it would be easier to add them to your favorites. There are a lot of people on here I myself had found it hard to find profiles again. But that is only because I wanted to think about what to e-mail them or did not have the time. I don't see why you would add someone then not ever contact them. I've actually had that happen to me.
But having said all of that I don't use the favorite thingie. I never remember its there anyway. | |

I add people to my favorites list that I might want to contact in the future or may want to reread thier profile to make sure they are a good match for me. Or like another poster said, you like what they said in the profile, you thought it was funny. | |
