| Anyone from South and North Carolina and surrounding?

I live south of Myrtle Beach and would enjoy a get together to meet new friends and possibly plan events, trips, etc. with a group of people that would really do things. I know the few people I know all "say yes I want to do that," but trying to get someone to commit to a trip, cruise, or almost anything is difficult with all the different occupations and work schedules here at the beach. Some are off on weekends, others work weekends, so it makes it tough if you are a single person and want to do things or go places, but not always alone. It usually is a lot less expensive if you have a group of people to make plans and do things.
Is there anyone else out there that has been through this kind of thing when they try to plan a vacation or trip, cruise, etc.? Just wondered. Wouldn't it be great to have a local "singles group" to hang out and plan things together?
Maybe if we get enough people in this area interested, those of us that would like to do a cruise or trip will find enough people to go along and make for a great time. In the meantime, we can maybe hang out at the beach, have dinners, day trips, and see how much interest is there.
