I would prefer to keep a smile on your face by being wacky and goofy. If you tell anyone about my serious side, you'll ruin my bad reputation.
I love you girl!
That's right Ken......................I said it!

Comfort on difficult days, Smiles when sadness intrudes, Rainbows to follow the clouds Laughter to kiss your lips, Sunsets to warm your heart, Gentle hugs when spirits sag, Friendships to brighten your being, Beauty for your eyes to see, Confidence for when you doubt, Faith so that you can believe, Courage to know yourself, Patience to accept the truth, And love to complete your life.
I asked the Lord to bless you As I prayed for you today To guide you and protect you As you go along your way.... His love is always with you His promises are true, You know He will see us through So when the road you're traveling on Seems difficult at best And God will do the rest.

Never look back at the wrong you've done, Because that wrong you can't undo. Just look ahead at the goodness of God, And he will bring joy to you.
Never look back at failures you've had, Because they probably weren't failures at all. Just realize you are made in the image of God- Like a mountain you will stand tall.
Never look back at what you should have done- On these thoughts your mind you should rid. Just ask God to guide you day to day, Then you can proudly say what you did.
Never look back at moments of pain, Because the only one that will hurt is you. Just keep your mind on the love of God, And watch your gray skies turn blue.
Never look back at material lost, Because nothing material ever lasts. But the things that God will give to you, Nothing material can surpass.
Never look back for what no longer exists, Because you won't find it anywhere. Just keep your eyes on the love of God- Look around you it is always there.

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 1/12/2007 12:45:29 PM | This poem is dedicated to those special g/f's in my life who have found that special someone
CHANCE, FATE, OR GOD'S REWARD?
Oh, how sadness, and an ugly emptiness Has adorned my life, Wearing on me like a waterfall, Chiseling away on its solid rock base.
Heartache upon endless heartache, Swimming in this dark sea of disappointment. Within its turbulent and destructive waters, I am pulled beneath by the relentless currents.
How has happiness eluded me? Why has love steered clear of my grasp? Not just briefly, but for an entire existence. Slipping through my hands as sand through an hourglass.
Out of fear, I ran from its value, Locking the windows and doors to my inner soul. It has taught me to hide from the very source, That I need to nuture upon.
Then suddenly an angel appeared before me. Was it by chance, by fate, or God's reward? With one touch of your hand you've cleared my fear, And given me completeness of life everlasting.

You're in each thought I have And every breath I take My feelings are growing stronger With every move you make
You're an angel from above who takes away my pain My love for you is so strong It's always just the same
You're the miracle in my life Who can always make me smile Just knowing that you care Makes my life worth-while
You've touched my heart and soul Which you have from the start Your warm soft words Will never leave my heart
You are everything I want You're so pure and true I love you with everything I have And I love everything that you do

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 1/24/2007 8:00:00 AM | Love is the only bow on life's dark cloud. It is the Morning and the Evening Star. It shines upon the cradle of the babe, and sheds its radiance upon the quiet tomb. It is the mother of Art, inspirer of poet, patriot, and philosopher. It is the air and light of every heart, builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody, for Music is the voice of Love. Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to joy, and makes right royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of the wondrous flower -- the heart and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven and we are gods.

"All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" Robert Fulgham
Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in Kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.
These are the things I learned..
Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life.
Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup? The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup - they all die. So do we.
And then remember the book about****and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK.
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and sane living.
Think of what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 2/3/2007 6:38:56 AM | When I First Looked Into Your Eyes
When first I looked into your eyes each breath became a thousand sighs. My heart drummed out a thunder beat I glowed with joy from head to feet. The hand of love had touched my soul, as the bell of destiny began to toll. The tide of love began to rise, the world was filled with summer skies. My sodden clouds of cold and grey glowed with gold, then wisped away. A brilliant rainbow arched across, as waves of love began to toss. The air was filled with lovebird cries, when I first looked into your eyes.
When I first looked into your eyes, all time and space were paralyzed And in that instant, I was shown a universe I had never known. I dwell there still, in Paradise, when I look into your eyes.

Forget Me Not
Forget me not For in your heart there is my spot And in that space no one else can be Because that space belongs to me Even though I am no longer yours and you are not mine If you look deep into your heart it is me you shall find So I say forget me not For I ll always be in that little spot
Kinda sappy but would make a good halmark card lol

But in the dark it is not there… Muffled sounds… Oh it surrounds… Around and around and around… Oh how profound….. Is the sound … Of a pure white tone… To peak one’s senses set to prone… To hear the sound of all alone… In the pure white… Lacking of light… It all is the same… Another day another game…. To play and live… Thank you … Another day to forgive...

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 2/12/2007 5:39:13 AM | One of my friends gave me five minutes to come up with a poem dealing with medieval love. This is what I penned, er ah, typed.
Hearts Alike
Sitting, pen poised in hand a happy poem was what I planned.
`Bout squires, Knights, Queens, and Kings `Bout medieval times and other such things.
Where the noble Knight rides out on a quest. his squire behind displaying his crest.
The King and Queen sitting in the great hall the scribe scribbling notes bout marriage and a grand ball
The herald appeared and in his bass voice announce a good time was planned, a time to rejoice.
The court assembled to hear the royal decree. The Princess Adrianna was to marry, Philip, the Marquis.
All cheered the news, the time had come bring forth the meade, the trumpets and drum.
All cheered the news that is all but one. Princess Adrianna's heart someone else had won.
But her duty lies to her King and to her Queen. Mayhaps, she thought, the bishop could intervene.
Surely he could, would make them see. how unhappy and miserable she would be.
The King knows of ruthless power, the Queen knows of gentle love. Did she not win the King's heart by soft voice and silken glove.
My darling love, she softly whispers in the King's ear. This is you daughter, forget the power, let you heart hear
Much to this Kingdom this union will bring, I know, but Trade your daughter's happiness for this and hatred for you you'll sow.
I have made a decree, the King said, I have given my word. To break this pledged oath would be absolutely absurd.
However, there might be a way, give me time, let me think on this. He leaves his Queen, with a twinkle in his eye and on her lips a kiss.
We mustn't forget our Knight errant with squire behind, well that's apparent.
Riders were sent throughout the Kingdom far and wide To search mountains, valleys, the whole countryside.
The Knight errant, his quest, we never did mention. Now is the time to bring it to your attention.
To find a cure for the pain in his heart, his love pledged to another so they had to part.
The King's men had rode over every hill and dale finding the Knight at the Shrewsbury Inn sipping an ale.
He read the dispatch and to his lips came a grin. Back to the castle, on the morrow we'll begin.
The King told his Queen what he had planned, She just looked at him, smiled, and gently squeezed his hand.
A tournament was to be held and all could attend Prizes to be won and Honors to defend.
The King and Queen supping under canvas tent. Princess Adrianna and the Marquis were also present
The Princess knew not of what the King had planned She only knew that an unwanted ring she would soon wear on her hand.
The Knights looked splendid regaled in surcotes and crests The sun glinting brightly off of armour and chainmailed chests.
The horses had run and lances clashed and some were broken. All having fun `cept Adriannna, from her not a word was spoken.
Suddenly on to the field rode a lone Knight. His crest familiar, it was known on site.
A flush came to Adrianna's face As her pulse began to race.
My greetings to my lord King, Sovereign of this Realm The Knight said after raising the visor of his helm.
My heart was pledged to Adrianna as her's was to mine Our love we pledged each other when we were both nine.
Do battle I shall with one and all who may disagree. Silence reigned as all eyes looked upon the Marquis.
Stood the Marquis, quite surprised, and a bit taken Anger within this bold Knight did awaken.
Mounting his horse and onto the field he rode to do battle for what has to him been bestowed.
Knight and Marquis on the field of honour met face to face in each one's mind know they will win by God's good grace.
The Marquis did this say to the Knight With you I disagree, make ready for the fight.
As squires prepared shields, swords and lance The Marquis thought of his home, his home in France.
Of a time in his life many years past Of a love he once shared and thought would last.
A thought of Marie, hair like spun gold. A true beauty, a vision to behold.
Know I how this Knight does feel and what's in his heart, For long ago Marie's parents had torn us apart.
It was the same, a marriage to acquire more land. Surely young Philip, the Marquis, would understand.
It was many years since then but the pain still remains A heart broken, heavy as if laden with chains.
The time has come to meet this brave Knight to battle for Honour and for right.
At gallop full the two came at one another with full intent of killing the other.
As the distance between the two closed on the field the Marquis quickly and suddenly dropped his shield.
The speed was too great there was no chance for the Knight to stop or drop his lance.
The Marquis took the hit deep in his breast from his horse he fell, crimson streams flowing from his chest.
In the surgeons tent the King held Philip's hand, My dear Marquis this is not what I had planned.
Philip just smiled and nodded his head I must speak to the Knight was all that he said.
The Knight before him did slowly kneel the pain in his eyes he could not conceal.
Adrianna is yours, Sir Knight, as was meant to be Your love for her is deep as is mine for Marie.
These many years I lived with the pain That I can never see or hold my Marie again.
I could not chance to burden you so so your life to you I now bestow.
Do not let grief course through your veins for in my passing are removed the chains.
Take this woman and make her your wife Love and cherish her for the rest of your life.
For years now on every Sunday, as all can attest flowers appear on the tomb where Philip is at rest.

LOVE SPIRIT
Oh Love, you obscure spirit, what have you done to me? My soul is no longer my own.
You possess my very being and have filled my heart with inexplicable emotions. You now control thoughts that I solely possessed. The words I once thought I would never say, you speak for me. The feelings I thought I could never give, you give for me. My private dreams and aspirations you now make known. The weight of my loneliness you have lifted from my heart and replaced with an euphoristic air. The laughter I lost, you have found. You have taken my darkness and turned it into light. You have seized my confused life and set a path for me. The gray existence of my life has now exploded into a myriad of color by your touch.
I have never sought you. I have never hoped for you. I have never thanked.
Oh Love, you obscure spirit, what have you done to me? You have made me whole.

WOUNDED HEART
Words, like a sword unsheathed, cut deeply into my very soul, have now since lost their design. The wraith of time passes quickly and heals, although scars still remain. Shadows formed by the setting of the years have begun to fall across the dreams once dreamt. The dreams of two seem now merely a mirage seen by one, in a world cold. Alone I awakened into this life and alone I will again sleep but through the limited hours of my existence, alone I must not exist. Unlike the stone of David, in me beats a heart with the passion of life - and that gives me warmth and emotion. I too have thoughts to share, and hopes to fulfill, and love that know no bounds. Endure I must the jest played by nature's hand with a sense of spurious bravado, lest the pain be perceived by all. And I say pity unto all who revel most in the veil that hides the heart for once that veil is parted, the true worth of the gift within will be seen.

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 2/12/2007 5:49:20 AM | And yet, one more.
FOREVER THE SMILE
The unrelenting ticking of the clock, that damned reminder of my mortality, pounds out each second of my existence without remorse. And every hour, with macabre humor, it tolls out to remind me that yet another share of my life has passed.
Waiting for dawn to break, each second seems an eternity. I look at that devilish device and it spitefully reminds me of the hours that yet remain.
Second by second, ever so slowly, those mechanical hands move toward the time when I will once again be able to smile.
I will smile because at dawn she will be there. She is not mine, nor will she ever be. Still, she makes me smile.
For a long time I did not know her but I knew of her. Her presence I felt when she was near. It was a pain new to her and not so old to me that allowed us to meet.
She asked my advice on matters of the heart and the best advice I could give, I gave. For her happiness was all I desired.
(Foolish is the one that now has her because he knows not what he truly has.) The time is drawing close to when she will no longer be there. She will move on. But till that time comes I will smile. And when dawn comes and she is no longer there, I will still smile for the memory will always remain.
I have lived a few years and have learned some of life’s lessons along the way. One of these is; For whatever you do have, be grateful, for some have not as much.
Some may ask, If you do no have her, what do you have? Indeed! I will always have a friend, and a smile.

| Do you have a poem to share with the rest of us? Post it here Posted: 2/12/2007 5:53:12 AM | One more.
MOONLIT MOMENT
The gentle breezes caress our skin like fingers in a silken glove. As we lie on the shore we see stars in the clear night sky above us. Sparkling like diamonds thrown upon a black velvet cloth. The moon, so full and bright, illuminates the breaking waves with a silvery glow.
All this is lost as we revel in each other. Our eyes meet as we search each other’s soul. We both know that the moment has arrived.
Our lips softly press against each other’s. The heat of passion that has been building within us is now unleashed. Closer we move to each other, holding to one another tightly for fear of losing this moment. Our hearts are beating as one. We look into each other’s eyes once more and we know that this was meant to be.
Softly we caress each other exploring every delicate curve. Lips, softly brushing against burning flesh, heightens our desire for each other.
Passion’s fire overwhelms us and we join to become one. Breathing as one. Moving as one. Existing as one. Words need not be spoken for we know what is in each other’s heart. We are oblivious to world about us; we are lost in each other.
The waves thundering against the shore are muted by our silent ecstasy. Nature’s might is made insignificant by our love. Once in a lifetime is one fortunate to find such a love.
I have found you.
