Posted: 7/30/2009 11:40:12 AM | It is sad to say, but most people genuinely wouldn't cheat on their partner if they are truly in love. But there are too many circumstances in place that allow people to think its okay.
For one, dating has become much too complicated and casual. In my parents day, people met, liked each other, then 'went steady' and that was it. You were official. Now, you can be "seeing eachother," "casually dating," "open relationship," "dealing," "booty buddies," and many many other labels are placed on couples.
Another problem is that many people jump into relationships with people who are essentially strangers, leaving very little opportunity for trust to grow. How can I trust you to be loyal if I've never even met your friends or family, or even seen where you live? | |
