| Liverpool F.C Posted: 8/25/2008 4:17:37 PM | The lads have played two average games to start the season off. The plus side of all this is that they are winning the ugly games, something they often failed to in the past few seasons. If they want to win the league then these games are the ones they must win and they must take max points off the other big 3 where they can.
I am well chuffed with the arrival of Keane and am looking forward to a big season. The only thing that could come close to being better than winning the title is getting rid of the muppets who own the club yet have no love, passion or pride for the team they own.

Do any of the pool fans think that you guys spent WAY too much on Robbie Keane???? I mean, I'm Irish, he's captain of my national team and I genuinely like the guy, but there is no way I would think he is worth almost as much money as was spent on Torres!!!! No way is he worth 20 million pounds...
kin'ell Kirk, start of the season and im already agreeing with you....
as for the first 2 games scrappy, worryingly so.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 8/26/2008 12:01:57 PM | And now it looks like we are about to sign Riera,a man who could not even cut the mustard at Man City.
If we get any narrower we are going to be able to hide behind lamposts. We need to stop going after mediocre players, get rid of the likes of Pennant,Voronin, drop Kuyt to the bench (Hardworking but nothing more) and buy two top class wingers.
We have got lucky in the last three matches and unless something happens asap we are going to find ourselves out of the CL and the title race before xmas again and trying to scrape a FA/League cup win.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 9/6/2008 11:25:19 PM | well, I can now start my weeks worth of stress as we get ready for Man. U.
I wouldn't want to be able to buy everyone just to buy an all star club just to win the cups but I would like to know if that Dubai group will come in with another offer now since what happened at Man. city.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 9/7/2008 5:30:15 AM | not stressing about it, we're gona play for a point, end off.
Torres may be back, but given the making he had from Rio last season it wouldn't matter if he was or not.
DIC wont be held to ransom, they have made a generous offer in the past. It would of left the owners with a £25m profit each on a ?years work??. I doubt they will up it, its up to the yanks to back down.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 9/16/2008 2:37:14 PM | Awesome match and finally getting the 3 points from Man. U. We definitely out played them in the 2nd half.
Add this to tonight's victory over Marseille and it is a wonderful week so far!!

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 10/1/2008 10:00:45 AM | Hi, fairly new to POF, brand new to the forum, great stuff. Was never in any doubt about the sad blue noses, funny to see them struggling so bad. Thought we were going to get tonked when Tevez scored so early but we were first to everything that day and praise where its due please Dirk played well and always gives his all. Riera was a different player when at city; just like Tierry Henry was a poorer player until his move to Wenger's arse nal. Torres is just majestic and i've got him and Pepe in my telegraph fantasy footie side, please don't call me sad i'm having a bit of fun with our great game and doing better than Hansen and Moan-rin0. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 10/1/2008 5:41:19 PM | Fabulous Red men - big win 6pts with two sides below on Nil points. Dirk starting the ball rolling-his 10th champs league goal, Stevie G. a ton in the bag, and Robbie get his first! Lovely Jublee. Not bad for a side that 'has started slowly' We have yet to play really well so look out when we do | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 10/2/2008 8:03:34 AM | | chuffed with our start to the season but the results against Villa and Stoke were disappointing, no shots on goal against Villa was a worrying sign but hopefully we're past that | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 10/5/2008 9:46:11 AM | Smirkin' Dirk with the winner Mr Majestic two more for my fantasy side. Only sad for Skirts being hurt. What a come back!! Pity we got into that position in the first place, Rafa's starting formation blown out of the water, Riera was poor on return to former club. Rafa pulled it out the bag-Love it. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 10/5/2008 9:08:24 PM | nice victory although Kuyt stresses me out with his ups and downs.

Seen the city match again, got reserve action and so much more. Shame we've got international break coming up, just a nuisance when your team is doing so well. Anybody got any thoughts on club versus country?

Hopefully we've put the last couple of games behind us nothing better for getting that impetus than beating the blue noses (not wishing to tempt fate of course).
