| Liverpool F.C Posted: 12/14/2007 12:30:47 PM | i have never posted anything about baseball and its rules, nor have i attacked any baseball player with a silly comment!
i only comment upon the title 'world champion', which is unfair!
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 12/14/2007 12:37:25 PM | | in case you cant put this together ill help you. when you are debating whether or not MLB has the right to name thier championship the world series then you are talking about baseball. you need to understand baseball to debate it. i know my comments about torres have been stupid and unwarranted. exactly how i percieve your arguments against MLB. | |

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 12/14/2007 2:03:01 PM | yeah at last an American who knows how to enjoy a good sport
Torres is majestic. some months ago i already said he would become a star in England and facts show i was right. he is the typical strong forward who knows his duty: to score goals and no more
People compare Torres & Cristiano Ranaldo & I admit, Their ball handling & striking skills are very similar but I think the huge difference is that Torres has a much smaller ego & a much better relationship with his teammates both club & country. Oh, Torres doesn't flop or whine half as much as Ronoldo. That goal against Marseille was nothing short of brilliant. Usually a striker will get stopped going 1 on 4 defenders.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/20/2008 8:10:19 AM | Liverpool have today sacked Rafa Benitez. The board have opted for a new management style and have appointed John Barnes with Sammy Lee as his number two. This new, faster, more attacking style of play will be known as the Barns/Lee effect. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/20/2008 10:56:48 AM | really?
if it is true, then those north americans who took over Liverpool have showed that they are stupid and know nothing about football!
Liverpool won yesterday 2-0 against Inter Milan (the best Italian team right now) and they are in a good position in the Premier league. so what the hell do those new owners want?
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/20/2008 11:53:36 AM | Gillette is the current owner right? I know he bought a soccer team but I'm not sure which one .
He's been a fantastic owner for the Habs.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/21/2008 9:13:05 AM | Trust Inter the chokers of chokers to lose to Liverpool.
Praying they can win at the San Siro.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/24/2008 11:58:19 AM | a new hat-trick got by Torres | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/24/2008 9:37:14 PM | The game was unconvincing. I didn't understand the formation Rafa was playing and the defense was shaky, but oh well, a win is a win. Why they had Kuyt playing as a Attacking midfielder didn't make sense. Yeah he's a work horse but I think Babel would've played better in that position, with Kewel playing on the left side.
But like I said, a win's a win.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/25/2008 11:19:52 AM | ^^^^^i do not know where you come from, but you seem to be from England where Rafa Benitez has got a lot of enemies, even if his team is in a very good position and fighting in the Champions League!! so what do you all really want?
by the way, Tottenham have won the Carling Cup, and you see the manager is a Spaniard as well

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/25/2008 12:04:25 PM | Comments made by Torres after his first Premiership hat-trick..What a class act this guy is, A true professional.
Fernando Torres reflected on his first hat-trick in the Premier League and dedicated his fantastic treble to Rafa Benitez. The Spanish hit-man took his tally to 21 goals for the season in the 3-2 win over Middlesbrough and was full of praise for the manager that brought him into the Premier League. "You cannot score three goals in a game without the help of your manager and your team-mates so I would like to thank them," said Torres. "The manager signed me for Liverpool so I am really grateful for that, and he also works with me all the time trying to improve me and make me a better player. "I think my game has already improved and will continue to improve under Rafa Benitez. The most important thing is that the team is successful, that is the only thing that matters. "If I score some goals that help us to win things then I will be very happy, but it is all about the team. "I came here to win things because I have never won anything as a senior player. I won medals when I was an under-16 and an under-19 player but that was a long time ago. "Hopefully we will win something this season but if that does not happen then next season. "I have signed a six-year contract so I am here for a long time and if things go well hopefully I will be here for even longer. "I have 21 goals this season and that pleases me because it is my best season yet but I am not thinking about scoring 30 because what makes me most happy is when the team wins, not when I score." The striker also revealed how special the feeling was for him to complete his hat-trick in front of the Kop. "That made it even more special for me because the Kop is such a special place and it means so much to everyone associated with Liverpool Football Club," added El Nino. "The fans have been fantastic with me since I first came to the club and I would like to thank them because their support has been a big help. "Now everyone at the club has to focus on trying to finish in the top four so the win against Middlesbrough was a very important result for us." Nope, from Canada. I'm actually a fan of Rafa because I think he's done very well with the limited resources that was given to him. Yes I said limited, because compared to the money spent by the Top 4 on building a club in the PRM, I can only think of Arsenal being a club that didn't build a title contender club without spending a gazillion amount of dollars.
I'm just questioning the weird formation that he used in the game because I think there are players on the squad that would fit the formation more than having a striker playing as an attacking mid.
It was like playing Cisse on the wing.

Msg 48..I wouldn't say 130 million pounds spent on players since Benitez took over limited resources! If Liverpool's coach wasn't so obsessed with changing his teams line up every match maybe they might have done better this season instead of being so many points behind Arsenal. He should stick with the little and large partnership upfront.....Torres and Crouch for goals.

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/26/2008 7:42:34 PM | Since Rafa took over in 2004, how much did Chelski, Man U and Arsenal have spent on their squad? I'd be interested to see how much those 3 clubs has spent compared to LFC since 2004. Off the top of my head, I'm guessing the money spent on Transfers for players rank from Chelsea, Man U, LFC and Arsenal. I don't know if that's correct, but we all know Chelski spent a gazillion dollars on players. Man U has spent a lot of money bringing in players (Tevez, Carrick, Rooney, etc) and Wenger somehow finds young guys for cheap and turns them into solid PRM players.
So that's what I meant by limited resources. By no means I'm saying he had no money to spend to buy players, but compared to other title contenders, I don't believe he had the same resources.
The beginning of the season I wasn't too happy with how things were going with the team because of the rotation but I think he was just experimenting.
I do agree with Torres and Crouch up front, I really don't know why Crouch move up on the pecking order, I see him as the ideal fit with Torres up front.
