| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/27/2008 12:40:31 PM | Defo Torres and crouch up front!! I'm happy with Rafa, I blame the american's that have taken over, no offence to anyone! LFC have alot of history with some cracking games as well as players, some of their matches will be talked about for many years to come! Not happy with Pennant though he just doesn't do anything! Babel is best coming on as a sub as he always scores when he's a sub! I'm sooooooo proud being an LFC supporter and wear my shirt with pride! | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/27/2008 2:09:25 PM | Torres is class, end off, lol, he did make a comment about follwong Rafa where ever he goes, (ok, thats not word for word) but basicly if Rafa left Torres wants to leave too.
Hams, our out lay is £15m this season, taking into account who has been sold. we are not one of the biggest spenders in the league, we still havent signed mascherano yet, and the reported 17m is a pipe figure theis is includng his wages and spread out over the 4 years... the hillbilly owners have still yet to cough up.
bean counter - defence struggled with out one of its most consistant players, Jamie Carragher.
Pedro, we are 4th behind the blue $hite.... for us that is more then painfull
Jo, torture link! lol
Frankster... we won it 5 times, we have every right to go for a 6th, we are one of the most decorated teams in europe. behind real and milan we have won it the most times!
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/28/2008 11:09:23 AM | ^^^^^^^^^^^yes you are right! Liverpool are the third best team of all with 5 European Cups, only behind Madrid (9) and Milan (7).
it pisses me off and makes me fume to hear some fools that Barcelona are a great team, even they dare say they are the best, FOOLS
how can a team with only 2 European Cups be great or be amongst the greatest ones? and let us not forget that Barca won their first European Cup in 1992 facing the Italian team Sampdoria, what a joke? where are the Italians now? did they get relegated since then?
to be a real champion you must face strong rivals, not Sampdoria!
talking about Torres and Rafa, well Torres is the best Spanish footballer ever playing in the Premierleague, it was not a surprise his hat-trick a few days ago as he is a forward, and as forward you must score goals, that is why you get paid and are signed i would say. as for Rafa he is a great manager, the problem is he does not seem to be social, as if he were on his own. but none but an idiot or those north americans who took over the club would sack him!
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 2/28/2008 6:36:49 PM | Fiona.. yeah it totally showed because Arbeloa is really not that solid as a center back. Lets hope for Agger to have an even more speedy full recovery. Skrtel looks like a pretty solid 3rd Center back too. Signing Mascherano is a must, the guy's such a solid ball winner.
Pedro, I'm very impressed with how Torres adapted to the English game whereas other high profile signings from Spain hasn't settle much at all (hello Morientes). The only other Spanish player I can think of that has done pretty well moving to the PRM is Arteta, but they're not even in the same class level when it comes to skill.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/1/2008 9:51:30 AM | settle much at all (hello Morientes).
went weak at the knees when we signed him.... what the hell went wrong???
the Macsh deal is done now, still waiting for the *but*, and i do think it will happen, maybe it was a bribe, (TH) i will buy him, but you must leave my son alone when the****ead walks into the Sandon..... geeze plant pot!!! seriously, i do think we will have recompence for the deal being completed, who we will loose or wont sign i dont know, but something will come up.
Crouch and Hyypia have just been given new deals... Sami... yes.... Crouch??? hope it involved a pay based on performance!!
Skrtel worries me, think he will break a few legs in some of his takles, erm, ok have to decide f that is a problem.. lol (JOKE) looks like when his confidence pickes up he will be only 2nd to JC.
Torres... was at the game, didnt know he had the hat trick till i got home! lol too busy jumping and screaming when his name was read out...... The man has the makings of being a Liverpool FC ledgend.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/1/2008 10:48:27 AM | | well said totally agree princess fiona xx | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/1/2008 11:11:08 AM | of course i agree as well | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/1/2008 12:09:59 PM | | If Skrtel can strike fear like making strikers feel like they'll lose their limbs coming into the middle, that's fine with me hahaha. Crouch needs more playing time. Sell Kuyt and Voronin and buy a solid 3rd striker. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/2/2008 8:14:32 AM | | Somewhat solid game today against Bolton. The back line was shaky during set plays though! Kuyt had a pretty good game and I was impressed by Babel's play again. He still needs to gel with the team though, he was out of position a few times that stopped the flow of the game. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/3/2008 10:29:52 AM | I think we played reasonably well against Bolton except for one major worry. We simply cannot defend set pieces at the moment and its something we need to sort out asap.
In terms of player comings and goings this is how I see it.
Players that Should definitely be shipped out:-
Kuyt Kewel Riise Voronin Itandje Pennant
Players I hope we will buy:-
Quaresma Rafina Mancini Villa
Those players would cost a fair bit but I think that if we sold a few of the players mentioned plus Scott Carson and possibly Alonso (£20m for the pair) those four players may not be as out of reach as it would first seem.
One thing I was thinking about yesterday was that if we could not afford someone like Villa, who else thinks that Benni McCarthy (Blackburn) might be worth buying? He scores a fair few goals for Blackburn and will not need time to adjust to the prem.I think he could do a good job for a bigger team than Blackburn and would not cost the earth.
Come on the Reds,YNWA!

|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/3/2008 11:15:24 AM | of course i agree as well
Pedro, you should be pleased..Your favorite club team is playing well & it looks like Spain could be one of the teams to beat in Euro 08.
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/4/2008 2:55:37 AM | We play intandje while carson is on loan..... that itself is painfull.....
macini..... mmmmmmmmmmmmm, and thats only for the perve in me... lol but mid field....
Queresma, i am not sure think our midfield is pretty solid.
Villa (david?) feck, we need a striker....
Rafina - Defender, not seen him play i dont think, so wouldnt like to pass jusdgment! lol
dont want to see Xabi go though...
Bring on the hammers!!!
I think what has done us harm is bringing int he class players but not the world class, why would we, LFC be snoopiong around the freebies, (Veronin) we should have funds available.... flippin Hicks.... still looks like DIC are on the way this week, lesser of the 2 evils maybe??
by the way, not knocking freebies, Gary mac was a ledgend, not bad for a freebie there...
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/4/2008 9:42:03 PM | Even as an american I love LFC more than any other club/team on the planet. I just don't think we have the depth to compete in the league, two domestic cups, and the uefa league right now. The absolute worst thing to do right now would be to sack Rafa. His record on the European stage is proof enough of what he can do. He's acquired some good talent (and hopefully can acquire more, as Liverpool looks brighter and more favorable to possible transfer targets now than I think it has the past few years) and needs a bit more time to develop into a team with 18-22 reliable players, such as the Man Utd's, Chelsea FC's, and Arsenal's in the league. As we've already got an explosive striker, a reliable defense, a solid keeper, and of course... WE have the best midfield in the world! WE have Xabi Alonso, Lucas from Gremio! Gerrard and Mascheranooooooo!!! | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/5/2008 10:38:56 AM | | you have forgotten Torres! | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/5/2008 11:38:44 AM | he didnt he quoted him as an explosive striker... lol
Bollox, right now we just need the ownership sorting this thing is crap, this has been a nightmare of a year with those two plant pots!!!
The team have it in them, they are just not consistant, we have enough top quality players to win the league, we dont because we f**k up any golden opertunity, we work best when our backs are against the wall and we have to push at it. We are the unbderddoge we come through on most occasions.
Tonight we have Westham.... (hams where are ya? lol) do i think we will win, no, its a game in hand, we never take advantage of them... i would (KEEGAN) LOVE IT to get back above the bitters and stay there, but its an opertunity, our game in hand.... fingers crossed i will have judged them wrong and we will win, go above the blues and tomorrow Fiorentina will crush the toffie blue noses...... (yeah gona shut up now)
if you manage to catch the game on a stream, there is a protest at half time, listen out for it...

|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/5/2008 1:58:23 PM | well flippin heck...
we used our game in hand to our advantage, go above the blues and get a much better GD...
Class!!! am am too stunned for words,
Expect a 4.0 hams?? blimey!!

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/5/2008 7:22:27 PM | | Top form today! Excellent match! Where would we be without Torres this year? 11 goals his last 11 matches. Gerrard had some spectacular crosses as well, and his goal wasn't too shabby either. Strkel looked impressive as well. We need Agger and Strkel fighting for Hyypia's spot alongside Carra, the more they want it the better they'll play. | |

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/6/2008 8:35:49 AM | yep...
"When I was in the leverage buy-out business we bought Weetabix and we leveraged it up to make our return. You could say that anyone who was eating Weetabix was paying for our purchase of Weetabix. It was just business. It is the same for Liverpool; revenues come in from whatever source and go out to whatever source and, if there is money left over, it is profit," Tom hicks.... (AKA****!)

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/10/2008 10:50:51 AM | Tom Hicks, co-owner of Kop Football (Holdings) Limited and, through it, of Liverpool Football Club, today issued the following statement. "Based on a meeting held earlier today in Dubai between my representatives and officials of Dubai International Capital LLC, as well as other recent contacts between us and them, I have decided to terminate any further discussions with DIC regarding their possible purchase of a minority stake in Kop and, in turn, in the Club. "DIC made it clear that if they invested in the Club, they would want it to be managed by committee. Based on my thirteen years of successful experience as an owner of professional sports teams, and based in particular on the situation at Liverpool Football Club over the past year, it is clear to me that such a committee approach would not be in the best interest of Kop, of the Club or of the Club's loyal and passionate supporters. "Accordingly, I have decided to exercise my right under the Kop Football (Holdings) Limited partnership agreement to veto any sale of any portion of Kop and the Club to DIC. "I and my colleagues and representatives will continue to explore a number of other options with regard to the ownership of Kop and the Club aimed at achieving an appropriate ownership, financial and organizational structure for Kop and the Club over the long term." mmmmmmmmm
the last paragraph makes very interesing reading
the fuuckers still want to sell the club

| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/10/2008 12:30:54 PM | | Liverpool and Celtic have always been my favourite teams.I can remember Kenny Dalglish first goal away to Middelsbrough. Then in the midweek League cup his first game at Anfield he scored again, you could tell something special was going to happen.I believe you will feel that again tommorrow when Torres takes the field. It doesnt matter to me where the money comes from as long as its better for the team.Ha I probably just gave my age away---oh well. | |
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/10/2008 1:43:55 PM | Nah, nothing will make the bitternes of that t**t owning us taste any better. I would gladly not win a thing this season to see the back of him....
We have to make CL qualification next season in order to keep up the interest payments of money the club owes, a debt that was promised we would never have.... they were never going to do a 'glazier'
he has paid F* all in to the club, bought no players, paid off no debt, done nothing. The guy needs to disapear in to the void he came from....
we owe him nothing, all he has done has brought termoil to the fans players and staff. Not wanted Not liked... Not needed...
Doesnt care about Rafa, Doesnt care about the fans, Liverpool Football club Is in the wrong hands....
we are going to do a leeds at this rate....
|
| Liverpool F.C Posted: 3/10/2008 1:52:06 PM | why do you all now blame those who took over the club? why did you not march against it when it firstly happened? why do the Prime Minister and goverment not take actions against foreingers taking over British clubs?
some years ago, before the american Glazier took over Man United, Tony Blair (Prime Minister at that time) stated that he did not agree and was against it. even he stated he would do anything to help and keep clubs their identity.
what did he really do? nothing at all!
it would be better to pass a law, not allowing foreigners to take over national clubs, that is all and simple!
